Perfect motor if you like chewing tobacco and romancing the sheep. Hate 4x4's. Hill billy machines.

The_Notorious_C_A_T replied to B11G KY's topic in Interior & ICE
Mine seems to be fine. Although haven't really had a real good mess about with it but positive so far. -

Throw them on and stop being a soft boy! Cars get dirty when being used. Isn't the end of the world.

they would not include any no claims for being a named driver on someone elses policy. Only company that does something on those lines is direct line, but are only counted on policies taken out with them.

Appreciate the kind words of support folks, but it's going to be a hard hairy adventure for sure and you'll probably see plenty of dumb ass threads from me on here and tgtt asking about the swap I had come to far with the car to break it for parts and sell off, and I love it tbh. Just a 4wd one will be loved even more lol
-
Suppose I shall update this a touch, as the numerous pm's from vultures wanting parts are starting to do my head in lol The car is technically being broken, but not to make money. Hopefully I shall be reshelling almost everything into a new home. A 4wd home ;) Full car loom, engine, the lot. Another reason I was half reluctant to post the plan was I hate doing that and not following through with it, as this one will be all my own work hopefully. So will obviously take longer than dropping it off at a garage. And I've never done an engine change before so since it's the first time, I will take obviously take longer than you hairy arse veterns of engine swaps. Although timescale on completion very much depends on getting an 85, although I am on the waiting list. Not looking for mad power, just a better run with the setup I have with decent mapping and the boost wound up. And alot more grip as how it is, wheel spin at lowish speeds which is where starlets should be good at, short sharp runs, not massive speed on a motorway. As traction was useless with no diff and pricing it all up, it works out more desirable to me to reshell with 4wd than get a diff and clean up the paint on the car to be of my standard. And as a by product, hopefully keep the remaining parts and make an n/a car as a run about, then sell the nasty fiesta as I hate automatics since driving that for a whole day! And I hate seeing decent cars being broken, it makes me cry a little inside I got it from Zisco mate, although I very much doubt you could get a hold of one now tbh.

Well put the car onto the rollers today at Wallace Performance in Aberdeen, here's the graph and a vid: Vid: Spec of the car are: TD04 hybrid Forged engine 460cc injectors Greddy ultimate Front exit exhaust External wastegate Wepr mani and decat relocated air filter uprated fuel pump running 1.4 bar although 19psi read on the dyno What I've taken from the run? That the rev limit needs to be raised as it was making power all the way to the limiter, that it runs rich a bit, and that my wideband is correct even though it's accuracy had been called into question. I know it's not all about figures but tbh I expected a little more at 1.4bar, although I will be swapping to a apexi and it will get mapped better and with more boost so it's kind of irrelevent really but an interesting day. Any thoughts or opinions are welcomed

No worries bud, if you're getting an engine from Dave you're in good hands. I got my engine fitted by them, was a long ass trip, but worth it

Google it or on tgtt bud.

The traders selection has been shaken up so it's a different set of traders to tgtt, I'm guessing you mean db and TM developments? Although just had a browse, Nick seems to be still on here and tgtt.

Another small update, I finally got the back de stickered, took ages due to the glue being gay, also I had to remove the TM development stickers due to them falling apart lol, I also gave it a clean since the weather has cleared up a bit and cleaned my alloys, first time I've ever cleaned a set of alloys!:

What Came After My Starlet
The_Notorious_C_A_T replied to abbott's topic in Other Motors Progress Blogs
Looking sweet mate. Although the thread made me want to keep my starlet even more due to the part about always having to sort out problems from the previous owner when buying a new car! But I do like how clean your motors are, your red starlet was awesome -
Buddyclub Spec 2 / 2.5" Straight Through Exhaust
The_Notorious_C_A_T replied to Dan_SV's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
I think it's hit and miss with powerflow. Heard some are truely rubbish yet some are good. Just depends on the dealer really. -
must have changed the thread view layout. Just go to options at the top of hte thread, then change layout to standard or linear. When I first when on austarlet forums it was like that, I don't get why anyone would want to view it like that though but oh well.
