how hatrd is it to use the bottem end of a 5efe in my starlet turbo what pistons do they use and would you need to upgrade the crank and rods

i had my first starlet at 17 turned 18 and had to gt turbo i think iam the youngest to have a turbo on her and to have 3 starlets in less than 1 year lol beat that lol

well iam takeing the turbo off to replace the exhaust gasket on the weekend so will take some pics for you guys and gals

that maybe ok but with a turbo you can never really tell intill its fitted and running on the car

yeah but the engine on the lucida is diesel is not going to go fast because that little turbo is powering a 2.2 still dosent mean it spool any slower and i raced my mates glanza last night and i was side by side all the way so i think they perform the same no slower

it works fine but y wouldent it be the same just because its diesel turbo dos the same job on a petrol and diesel

i think you find the turbo does fit i fitted mine tonight some things had to be changed like swaping the inlet housing and also turn the exhaust housing 180' but thats it then the turbo is the same and work like new and now my car dosent smoke ;) ;)

do you need different pistons or can you use standerd ones

nice idea miracle411.all udo is cut the bars out then fiberglass all the holes lefts the filler over the top of the fiberglass if your bro can make that sweet lip iam sure he can do that for for you

nice one good to see you r changing the still to your own mate

alot of money mate you will need the head shimmed and presure tested that will be about 60 to 80 pound then about 3 to 4 hours labour avout 44 pound a hour depending where you go to have it done.

y have you put the orange lenses back on and where have the alloys gone and r you going to paint the bonnet white seeing has you have taken the stickers of as i dont thinks the black bonnet looks right with out the stickers
