http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-TOYOTA-GLANZA-V...=item4cebe0fb1d Seems to have alot of work done, dont know if it's anyone off here.. But i message'd him, and he's adament it's a faceliftÂÂÂ
-
That's another thing too.. Not all roads are straight.. Id have much more fun toying with an Ibiza around the B-roads then just seeing who can go the fastest in a straight line..
-
Can of worms comes to mind lol... The only thing i'll say to that is, with me coming from the VW world... They give the Honda lads a hard time, but.. take 2 cars from the same years and compare the engines... Mk3 Golf .. 2.8 litre VR6 engine.. 174bhp EK9 Civic .. 1.6 16v engine .. 186bhp.. Obviously this is only 1 example against another.. but when i see their stickers saying ''Vtech this'' i can only think ''yeah, maybe you should've...''

Sky Blue Glanza - Aldridge, Walsall..

Have you got new wheels Andy? from a lad with an EK9 by any chance? -
Are the built-in turbo timers as good as the seperate branded ones? just wondering in case i wanted to adjust the timing etc
-
Can you set that alarm to arm automatically when the turbo timer turns off, so you dont have to wait by the car for like 15-30 seconds? And how much did that cost you fitted dude?
-
Just read the thread below about alarms and realised i'll need one fitting to the Glanza for insurance purposes (and general piece of mind) so what are you guys using? Obviously it needs to be CAT 1, and im guessing it'll include an immobiliser.. What else is there to look for? what's the deal with running one with a turbo timer fitted? And does anyone have one with remote start?
-
We'll soon see how it goes when we both have them.. i seriously doubt he'll insure a Cupra R anyway, he's younger than me and im barely gonna be able to insure a Glanza..
-
Die Hard 4.0 is on Channel 4 now lol..
-
Mila Jovovich or however you spell it..
-
Yeah but being VAG, coilies and wide wheels etc are widely available.. mine handles so good and it's 1/3 the power of the Cupra R..
-
Eugh the Golf's are tanks though, even the expensive Anniversary is only 180bhp.. I know the Polo GTi's of the same age are alos built in Spain, and they are very well known for having gearboxes and pedalboxes made of chocolate...
-
That's the only annoying thing, is you can get the 1.8T engines remapped so easily
-
Yeah i looked at that, it's a bit reassuring... The Cupra R has a better power2weight but if he's gonna spend more £ for one then i'll just stage 1 the Glanza up to around 155bhp and that should level the playing field.. It's not like we're gonna race on the roads or anything but you know how it is when you're always trying to 'one-up' each other
-
I know man, i dont wanna watch a copy either.. we're getting that unlimited pass so we'll be seeing a film or 2 each weekend
-
Yeah they're basically VW platforms so will handle well, prices are coming down though! Power-to-weight on standard cars is in the Glanza's favour, so maybe round the twisties it'd come out on top..

Paranormal Activity y'all!! Me and my mate are going for a late night showing.. My sister had her mates round last night, turned it off after 30 minutes.. i heard them screaming from the loft hahaha.
-
Right so im getting a Glanza, and my mate is getting a Seat Ibiza (99-02) either a Cupra or Cupra R and reckons it will slaughter the Glanza.. Unreliable old Parkers says.. 1.8 20V T Cupra R 3d   7.0 s  140 mph   180 bhp 1.8 20V T Cupra 3d    7.6 s  135 mph   156 bhp So what do you guys think? anyone faired up their Starlets to an Ibiza? Ive worked out you can get an extra 25bhp-ish on those Ibizas for about the same costs of getting a Glanza to 150-160bhp.. So it'd look like.. 133bhp vs. 15
-
At my local cinema, it's £33.50 to see the 5 films i want to see.. or £13.50 for an unlimited monthly pass lol...

What other controls are on there then? Is the left stalk just front/rear wipers and washers?
