Black Gt - Aldridge, Walsall..
Smithy_dub replied to Smithy_dub's topic in I Spy, Have You Been Spotted?
Yeah i think that's the one! Mine's a '96 slammed on polished wheels.. I live in Willenhall mate so any cars i see up this end are just by chance, i think ive seen yours once or twice though.. Is Andy on here? or do you have any info on the car? sounds ace.. -
Seen it a few times, you let me out of the car park on Brickyard Road about a month ago lol, im in the black Polo... Was actually just wondering what exhaust and other mods you're running? I never hear your car coming, but remember one evening you booted it over the bridge after that turning, and it sounded so nice, popped and chattered Chris.

I was up Cannock with a few mates and spotted 3 Glanza's. First was a white one, 'S' reg, i think the guy is mates with Liam who also has a white one? Second was a black one, may have had a bodykit on of some type, was with the white one. And then a blue/silver one that parked up on KFC, only had a quick glance at that. Was a busy night up there, no police that i saw, good to see some Glanzas up there Chris.

Check out Detailing World mate, there's plenty of people in your area that would be able to machine polish the paint for a good price

Going by prices of my local few shops that do alot of VW's etc.. For a good job too, not a cheap one.. around £800 for an exterior respray in the same colour.. Around £1000-1100 if you want to include the door shuts, top of the inner wings and boot shut. Also im not sure what Glanza's are like, but in my Polo, the rear side windows need to be removed for a proper spray cause of the exposed rubber seals, which make it a mission to mask off. Change of colour would be the same price, either way the car needs to be flatted back down so it doesnt make much difference what colour

Thanks dude Plans are: Arches rolled and rears flared slightly Remove bump strips (at last) Smooth rear badge and handle Smoothed off door handles Shortened rear plate recess Outdoor respray Full alarm system with central locking, door and boot poppers and remote start. Leather seats from another car with door card fabrics trimmed to match False floor in suede with install relocated into it Roll cage (show) polished with 'X' brace And a few other things lol, cant touch the engine on this....

I think the rat-look is best left to the aircooled and hotrod guys to be fair, Renault Clios with rusted bonnets and a window full of random stickers just dont cut it in my book lol
-
Great video! Cant wait to go there in a couple years What's the carousel (sp) like? Do you just kinda flow into it or is there a technique to driving round it right..?

Lovely car mate, keep it til August next year and i'll 110% buy it lol.

That G40 is stunning! I had a Mk3 Polo before this, just a basic 1.3 though lol, no supercharger.. Think ive seen that on ClubPolo though, lovely colour @ Dan SV .. will be doing the same i think mate, i love dubs and jap pretty equally, as long as it's got some sweet rimmage lol, but with the dubs its the low and slow look for me as insurance is still a nightmare, give it a couple years and i'll jap for something fast Thanks for the comments guys..
