  1. Im over in Southampton, other side of the water though, on the edge of the new forest. Thinks someone will have to organise a south meet at some point
  2. ^^ Will be sticking with the standard TMIC for the moment and then when its road legal it will get a HUGE one mounted behind the seats, but raised up so that it gets some air flow. Will have to make up some huge vents to duct some air direct to it! Jason
  3. Cool, its made from starlet bits so its half way there. Plus its for charity so the more the better
  4. I would be interested if you don't mind a non starlet tagging along
  5. Just down the road from me, doubt you will get too many jap cars there as it clash's with JAE
  6. Thanks mate, will be staying CT9 hybrid now me thinks *** Update *** Got up to TGT to measure/check a few things on the buggy. They are going to be mega busy moving premesis and getting ready for JAE so think they may not get anything done this month, can't blame them really. However it will be back on next month and i will have more cash to fuel the work I have started ordering a few more bits and they are slowly turning up, first was my race tow strap. Nice and light as there is not much to it but will easily pull the buggy if i get stuck in the gravel traps Started looking at making up the induction pipework and location for the induction kit, Filter will be mounted in the side compartment and stick out the side of the car. This means it will be in direct air flow so should stay nice and cool you will be able to see the turbo in the first pic so it should be relatively short pipework which is good. Im thinking about relocating the oil filter and a oil cooler to the other vent on the side. Also measured up a few bits on the front and im going to start looking at parts to start fixing the radiator in place and coolant pipework. Here is what the Fiat Chinqy rad looks like on the front, almost perfect fitment. The hoses coming off the rad will have to bend back around as they are quite close to the edge of the car but should be ok, and before anyone says the battery will be going to the rear of the car. I know its not really much of an update and it will go slow for a bit this month but will be back on with more speed next month. As always people, comments are greatly recieved. Jason
  7. Im going to be shitting myself just looking at the thing let alone driving it! Can't wait!!!!!!
  8. Last few months i have been thinking of options with TD04 and CT9. I wouldn't be going TD04 for a while as im going to just concentrate on getting it road legal first. If i change to TD04 then would need new manifold/turbo/exhaust etc etc. Think like you said CT9 will be more than enough, although that CT9 will be a hybrid
  9. LOL should be good. I know the CT9 will be great as it will be almost no Lag but i don't know if the TD04 will be too laggy. Most of you are probably laughing at that comment now I know they are probably not laggy at all. Would be good to know what people with TD04's think? Does the boost come on around the same as a CT9 or does it come in a littl later? Jason
  10. Thats the 4efte engine sitting in at the moment its almost in but needs another mount creating at the back! will get more clos eup pictures over the weeknd so you can see it in all its glory
  11. Right, got the powerflex poly engine mounts on order so they should be here shortly. Also while i was trailing through ebay i picked up a race Tow strap for the front. Its basically a harness fixing with a webbing strap attached and is used like a normal race tow fixing. The good thing about it is that as its only a metal fixing and a webbing strap its pretty dam light. I have started looking at induction kit options and will be measuring up pipework over the next few days and then will probably buy the bits i need while im at JAE Plan is to stay CT9 for the moment and hopefully go for TD04 or bigger later Production will probably slow up for a bit now as TGT are attending JAE and moving workshop so are mega busy! I will be up there on saturday measuring up bits so i will get some better pics then.................. Jason
  12. Thanks Mate, legend
  13. Hi All, I have started looking at making a custom induction kit for the 'Demon' and i already have a K&N filter that i picked up from Halfrauds for £15. Im looking at the filter relocation kit but i just need to know the size and shape of the part that goes onto the turbo? I know i could check myself but i don't have the buggy here so can't measure it. Anybody know the size, im guessing i will need a 90 degree elbow reducer? Does anybody have any pictures of the relocation kit off the car and can measure it for me? many thanks, The filter size is 80mm pipework and im aware i will need a reducer. Jason
  14. Good stuff ain't it. I can't believe how good the stuff is considering how cheap it is, i highly recommend the stuff, if anybody ain't got some, GET SOME!!!!! simple as!
  15. I have used the clay system several times before on different cars and it works a treat. I use a wax called Collinite Auto wax after its been clayed, its not expensive wax. Roughly £15-20 a tin but my god does it make the paintwork shine. And i have never felt paintwork so smooth after using this stuff. You won't believe how smooth it makes the paint Highly recommend the stuff! Jason
  16. I love it looks stealth as fuck Im loving it all in black, just needs more black now! Keep up the good work, will be watching this thread like a hawk now
  17. Thanks Mate! Your getting excited Im dying to get this thing done!!!! Was good trailering it though, had sooooo many people looking at it as they drove past! I love watching their faces as they stare at it as they drive past. Hopefully i will get a few little bits sorted this end over the next few days.......
  18. *** Update Time *** Got a few parts bought, a few on order and some to soon be on order and follow later. Firstly got the new rear side vents ordered up from Xsport in basingstoke and they arrived early this week, need a little work but will sort these out soon and nothing too bad. These are being used to vent some air to a oil cooler and generally just cool the engine a bit. Next came the Fiat Chinqy rad, now being mounted at the front of the car. Its only small i know but will have a couple of small spal fans added to the rear of it to help draw the air through it. Fits at the front of the car nice and snug though My bro also gave me some Pajero indicators that he never used on his supra project so these will probably end up being molded into the custom front nosecone i will be making? This will mean that the arch's won't have to have the indicators mounted into them then and i can keep the nice clean lines. Then today was spent moving the buggy to its new home for the foreseable future. TGT are moving and soon to be changing their name as they are going to start doing all Japanese cars rather than specialising in just Toyota's. Got the buggy out and on the trailer, this is the first time any of us has seen it outside with its new fat ass and to be honest i think it looks LOADS meaner and has a more racing look about it. Ignore the camber on the rear for the moment, the rear hasn't been fully finished yet so looks a bit low/crazy angles. Anyway, tell me what you think of the car now? This picture really shows the profile of the car now, looks great, if i do say so myself Back still needs some work, including a rear crash bar/light unit. not too sure what yet though?? Got it moved 10 or so miles down the road to its new HUGE home, makes the thing look even smaller when you see it inside the place. The glanza in the picture belongs to one of the guys that works at TGT. Gives you some idea of the size of their new place Buggy won't be worked on now for a little while as they have alot of stuff to move but i have said i have the money now to get back on it so engine/wiring/driveshaftwill be very soon Also have ordered a Apexi turbo timer and should be here next week and will be ordering the powerflex poly engine mounts in the next few days along with a load more steel to finish off the frame. thats it for the moment, any comments always welcome Jason
  19. Yes they come and collect, you tell them what time and where to collect. Every time i have sent something they just put it in the van and drive off. I don't know if they weigh the item later but i usually over compensate a bit on the weight of the item! Jason
  20. Make sure before you give the car to them to be scrapped that you rip everything out of it that you can, sell the interior minus drivers seat, door cards, carpet, roof lining, etc
  21. I always use a company called interparcel. Will give you an instant quote on line, just put in weight and dimmensions and it will give you quotes from about 6-7 couriers and all the offerered services and the prices are very cheap!!!! http://www.interparcel.com/ Jason
  22. If it was me then i would say GT I had one for about 2 days before i butchered it and only drove it 100 metres, if that Something about the GT i love, looks proper old skool. If you do get one then get some pictures up! Jason
  23. Didn't mean the colour I meant you have put so much work into cleaning it up and getting it powdercoated. Most people i know would have removed the old bush's put new ones in then back on the car! Others may clean it up and give it a quick coat of paint but you have gone to the effort of getting it shotblasted and powdercoated!!!! LEGEND!!!! if this is the effort you put into something thats not going to be seen then i can't wait to see the rest of the car done
  24. I think i have just done a sex wee That is some impressive work mate, looks truely awsome!!!!!! Most people would be put off with going to this much effort but fair play to you. You have put so much effort into that subframe and most people will never see it! Its only people following this thread that will understand how much effort you have put in! I love the look of the 15's as well, will be keeping an close eye on this, you never know it might make me want to actually do some work on mine!!! LOL Jason
