  3. Sold my glanza at the start of january and have been working my arse off trying to save for something new, i've seen it driving about and have seriously considered buying another but i was determined to buy something bigger, i have been swaying back and forth between what i wanted but have finally made up my mind and paid a deposit on something well worth the money, should hopefully pay in full over the next 2 weeks once previous owner has changed private plate, pics to follow its a 2002 bug eye sti type uk with prodrive package in black bc coilovers full whitline catalogue k-sport 8 pots MD32
  4. got a bit excited when i misread the post title as 2jz! still a cool swap!
  5. overtook a mk1 gt in my V when i was out for a drive last night, hadn't seen it before, i gave you toots and indicators, did have my mind slightly pre-occupied, trying to pull away from my buddy's new S15.
  6. 3rd year Uni Student studying sports and exercise science Part time job at Powerhouse fitness Part time job coaching gymnastics in total work hours are around 30 a week leaves just enough time to study... a bit, or go out for a drive!
  7. Sorry for thread spam Is this Suprapod? I see 3 of my buddys supras
  8. also been offered a 325, which isnt quite as clean, but with some tasteful mods could be nice, what could i expect from it, speed wise? almost as good as a standard Glanza? i dont think i could own anything for a long period of time if it wasnt atleast equally as quick as the V
  9. It is an "is" and yes an 8 series lump would probably satisfy, going to be doing a lot of research over the next few days, ill let you guys know what i come up with and see if it is actually a possibilty coupe's are nice but tragicly slow, i know a few people with really nice ones, not really for me
  10. yeah, i do love the glanza, but its just time for me to move on to something bigger, and i would consider a lexus, but im not sure if they're for me. The problem with the glanza is i know how much i could spend on it and i want to stop myself before its ridiculous, when for the same money i could move onto something bigger and better.
  11. yeah, i've demolished 328's with fairly few mods, just trying to consider all my options at the minute, trying to work out how possible this would be, i have a man who can do the convertion for £400 excluding cost of the engine, really need to look up costs of parts etc because if i do end up doing it i'd rather do it right. looks like im going to busy at work over the next few days haha surfing the web
  12. been offered a gorgeous 318, i would love this car, its an M3 rep, i am worried its not quick enough to satisfy me, although is exactly what im looking for style/comfort wise. looking at doing an engine convertion+turbo anybody turbo'd a 3 series? most likely using a 325 or m3 lump total costs? those are my main queries however any other info would be gladly appreciated such ecu advice and any personal experience of bimmer maps cheers Duncan
  13. i havent any yet, but do plan on getting some done, hopefully start the end of this year, new car comes first though!
  14. mine are set to third world bus. personal preference, i try and avoid roads i know which are particularly bad
  15. this kids brother has earned his way and apparently owns cars recovery up here in aberdeen, he's got a white gt3 or some other varient with the number plate 734 hp and also has a white lambo, a murcielago. I've seen the Porsche and it is absolutely gorgeous but until the other day had no idea whose it was was, this kid is a very lucky boy to have such fortunate parents/sibling
  16. yeah, some people with plenty money can be really gracious about it and that doesnt bother me, its the ones who arent that wind me up, another one is the corsa VXR's, they are so common where i am, im sure it must be a good deal on finance or something, or mummy and daddies money, but you just dont get alot of car for your money. dont get me wrong i actually really like this boys car, and it looks really nice, but if i had that money it would be spent far more wisely!
  17. My brother passed his test at the start of may, he is 17 about to go 18 and is saving for a car he is looking for an eg civic, but insurance seems just mental at the moment even on naf 1.2 corsas nd such. Saw one of his pals out driving last night, he's aged 17 and this boy is rocking a brand new 2010 seat leon cupra, these are about 240bhp and this is his first car, the car itself cost over 20k and is already specced up a wee bit with aftermarket exhaust and induction kit. Mainly i am posting this because i am jelous of how much money his family must have, although saying that, its not quite
  18. i enjoy an drink however find it difficult to part with my money when i know i could be putting it into the car, i rarely drink now because its simply not worth it!
  19. really old photo with old kit, damn i miss the way it looked
  20. Just got back from possibly the best holiday i've ever been on, amazing, even got to drive an elephant! The cars were very "jdm" style, loads of cool motors, lots of jazz's and yaris's highly modified plus civics and all the usual things you would expect, seen lots of evo's a couple TT supras, disapointingly only one gt but did see a few Kp starlets. Saw some drifting at a local track which was pretty good. Asides from the cars its an amazing place and i would highly reccommend a trip there, especially if you love the food!
  21. hulahoops, which was yours, i had a lookie only saw 3 v's? i think, what times did you run?
  22. I was down in my friends TT supra, he surprisingly won best jap car, even though he had not entered it or even cleaned it, was an alright day, weather could have been better, seen a few starlets, none particularly tickled my pickle and didnt seem to be respresenting as well as i'd hoped, times didnt look great, but folks that were there should post them up! I would have taken my V down but as its selling soon i didnt fancy putting more miles on it or chancing the clutch as have almost a definite buyer once its got 12 months mot on it. Everybody who went have a good day?
  23. I've just been informed by a friend that recently in Aberdeen there has been a string of car thefts, they have been targeting jdm rides from the 80's and 90's obviously as many are not alarmed and do not have immobilisers, if you do, im sure you'll be fine, for those who dont, be safe, take your battery out, or do what you can to improve the safety of your car at night. The guys are running about in a stolen black subaru impreza on false plates apparently, they were almost foiled when attempting to steal an evo 3 owned by one of the guys from jdmtas many civics have been taken, but im sure the
  24. i have mintex on my V and would highly reccommend them
