  1. i have gunmetal rota rb's, they are sweet, not sure how they'd suit on a gt, i love the oldskool look,
  2. Do your tyres poke? my rota rbs are 8" wide, plus spacers, with stretched tyres and with coilies wound down i had the same problem with pot holes etc, looks like the tyres are scrubbing on the arch to me, get the arches rolled, if this isnt your problem im not sure what it'll be but im sure someone on here will
  3. Thailand for 2 weeks in july, already paid for flights, staying with gf and her extended family, need to start saving so that i have some spending money though!
  4. cheers for advice, i do love the V because with minimal mods its pretty nippy, just feel like i will regret keeping it as i feel like i'll end up spending a fortune on other mods whereas saving money instead could easily go towards a nice low milage 3 as to repair costs and things im not sure, but i've checked insurance and all that if i do sell the V i may well regret the power to weight, but its a compromise from being fun to drive and actually being a little more civil and practical aswell still weighing it up in my mind any more pointers welcome
  5. Had the V more than a year and love it to bits, just fancy a change for something a little bit bigger, have been looking for a nice evo 3 not definetly decided yet, would idealy be looking for a part exchange as i need a car for work and don't really want the hastle of having multiple cars if im going to put it up for sale/px will be looking to do it between now and june just wonder what all you guys think about the 3's any experiences would be helpful Cheers Duncan
  6. be your own turbo timer! cheapest way to do it
  7. probably wouldnt recommend the buddy club spec 11 unless its for track use, police are unlikely to enjoy the note from it and most likely give you into trouble and make you have it tested
  8. exactly! lose door cards, roof lining, strip out EVERYTHING! also get yourself on a decent diet and get to the gym! this is my plan to make the V faster hopefully cheaper than buying anything else for it!
  9. Once my car was stripped it did handle differently and to start with was a bit iffy, now its on bc racing coilies and i've become used to it, i've grown to prefer the handling this way
  10. As long as its in half decent nick it should look nice stripped, mine is totally stripped, i am lucky because i found out it was in great condition underneath everything, a friend of mine considered stripping his, but his is manky underneath as its a uk shell thats had an engine swap here's a pic of mine
  11. mine has a few stone chips here and there, but to be totally honest i don't care, i'd much rather have fun driving my car than worry about getting stone chips
  12. Man up and remove aircon! If not, as above, mesh is a fairly sensible alternative

  15. im actually listening to it on repeat haha, its so funny!
  16. Definetely from my dad, his first car, mk1 golf gti, followed by a succession of m3's/m5's swapping between the two every 3 years or so, he has settled down a we bitty now mind, also took my out on his bike when i must have been about 7 at the earliest was a 650, he then got a 1200 gs bmw which is a monstrous bike, had an x5 for a while. knee injury means he sold the bike and now has a 525d boring man haha, although is now looking at evo x's. he is definetly a beemer man! childhood memories of rally events etc the usual! i just wanna go fast! just like ricky bobby
  17. Hopefully be at a few of these if i can get off work and the car is running good!
  18. I'm going to thailand with my gf and her family for two weeks in july, it'll be a champion trip!
