  1. do a compression test dude, and see if theres any oil in the intercooler pipe that goes to the turbo.
  2. hahaha a ct9 that can do 300-350hp!! they are chinese copies what I've read. stay well clear.
  3. Yes if you got the stock oem bushes on. I thought my bushes were solid untill i took 2 out and they fell out of the mount. you goto put up with the shakyness at idle thats the downfall but its not to bad.

  6. I have got second hand Athena gasket, arp headbolts, wiseco low comp pistons 74.5 and scat rods. How much do you think i could fetch all this for?

  9. 2 months later - I did an Open pit lane down at Brands Hatch 2 weeks ago. Which than 2 days later due to a headgasket failure. Stock HG are prone to going yet i still put it in my forged build and im pretty shocked it lasted all this time. But it was going to go at 1 stage and glad it did at Brands. I've cleaned her up,skimmed the head, repainted the front of the block. Brought these for the re-build up Saturday got the engine back in and managed to get her working yesterday

  11. Remove the efi fuse also - stops it pumping fuel in when cranking to get pressure.
  12. Yes they are normal good quality belts. if in doubt get a kevler which is around £120 pounds.
  13. my organic exedy is taking 270hp 250torquelol but yeah what sanchez said. go for something better.

  15. Thanks Dan. Not much update although took it round Brands Hatch open pit lane and mustard the Headgasket. Oh well standard HG lasted well over a year on TD04. So the engine is coming out saturday and will go from there.
  16. I wasnt to sure if the stroke length and the volume is correct though just been given it from tgtt. But am i looking at having a higher compression then before or even a lower compression after i do this HG change.
  17. right got a compression of 7:2:1 with details diamter : 74.5 stroke length : 77.4 cylinder : 4 chambers cc: 39 piston dished : -10 gasket : 1.2mm sounds about right ?
  18. I'v had the head skimmed twice, and the block once. My HG has failed after a blat around brands hatch open pit i got a athena 1.2mm to go on, what compression would this bring me too ? im worried I've skimmed the head to much now.
