did you skim the block again when you put the athena ?

goto your local garage ask if they got a tester, if they do ask them nicely that youll be back after a booted drive and if they can just stick it inside the expansion or just quickly pop off the rad cap. just watch your hands/eyes lol

Get a combustion tester on the radiator or expansion tank after a good blast. Or another quick easier check is to go for a raz, take the dipstick out of the expansion leaving the nozzle inside the water and rev the engine high to see if any bubbles... this is all goto be done after a good blast. Is the spark plugs pinky (coolant colour)

its not oil and water mixing its exhaust and water causing it to pressurise. Sniffer test it to find out 100%..... but you need to go for a blast around the block before doing it. -

ok thanks for clearing this up, still stunned to why we have tried 2 leads now and they definately dont fit. maybe a new dizzy cap thanks dude

no dude its the actuall pin size that to big for the dizzy cap.

my mates king lead is broken so we tried to see if mine will work on his and it does not fit :S. its to big to fit into the cap. We then tried a spare NGK king lead and again to bigg. They are clip types also. Any ideas?

lost a hell of a lot of coolant from the engine today

the head might of just lifted mate. just keep an eye on it. also did you do the sniffer test after hard boosted driving? -
any smoke from your exhaust ? a compression test is worth a go but i dont think it will show you a blown HG. Mine didnt anyway lol

the bottom ones, dont touch the 2 that are together in the middle. just make the bottom adjuster is tight.

check the adjusters aretight, they loosen themselves sometimes creating a knock/creak.

yeh his evo kit the screamer doesnt foul the coolant hoses/ radiator. yours should be alright though.
