  1. Hello Ive tried looking on tgtt and couldnt find anything. Whats the best way of removing the standard ep*5 lump in regards to the 4wd system. Eg. Can i remove the standard lump with the gearbox in place? Or disconnect the prop shaft and pull the lot out? Im looking at doing the conversion asap and jus trying to find out as much as possible ;)
  2. yeh ok stu i will try them out if thats ok Give me a text when your down.
  3. Bean- Have you got a website or something were i can find out about the springs? Bucketep91- I have fitted them on my 4wd shocks
  4. aye enzo called me about an hour ago and there's a company called rs*r that make lowering springs by the sound of it but we shall have to wait and see. But in regards to cutting the springs i will only lop a coil off nothing extreme its better then a hot rod styleee starlet
  5. cutting the springs is only a temp measure until another solution is available
  6. i am a tight arse thats why im not spending £700 on coilovers when i would rather put the money towards a turbo kit lol
  7. well i went out and battle the wind and rain today to do some more work on the car i received my spoiler from idrees today so fitted that havent got any pictures yet. Ive also bough a mint set of square headlights from a member on tgtt so hopefully they will be here monday I removed the old front headlights and fitted my gt bonnet and mark 1 front bumper Its slowly getting there just need to fit my fog light then off for mot i also received my export paperwork today so im 1 step closer to getting it on the road :D
  8. yeh i fitted them on the back and it nearly looked higher then my land rover i was just going to cut the one coil but i cant see another way of lowering it until another company just make lowering springs for the ep*5 but i dont see that happening either.
  9. its a repost mate its already on here somewhere
  10. I know it might sound a bit pikey but i dont really fancy spending £700 odd on coilovers for my 4wd just to lower the back. I know the front lowering springs will drop the car ok but not the back. I dont want it uber low but just so kinda match the front. Ive got 40mm lowering springs. Which bit of the spring do you cut as ive never done it before as i hopefully wanna lower it sunday if im not hungover rear springs on the right
  11. im lucky enough to live in cornwall where abouts in cornwall are you going?
  12. it does feel quite torquey ive done a few launches on my lane lol.
  13. once you've g3'ed the car it will look so much better just take it steady if using a mop as you dont want to burn the paint and use lots of water. Just a quick question the engine in my 85 its a 4E-F what kind of power does that produce?
  14. yeh it made such a differents but it was really hard work but really worth it. Im just waiting for idrees about the ep82 wings as one of the wings on this has seen better days
  15. ive got a set of lowering springs that i was going to cut a coil on the back and lower my ep85 as i cant really afford coilovers at the moment.
  16. done a little more to the 4wd yesterday ive finally fitted the boot i got from idrees just waiting for the spoiler now and fitted my rear bumper hopefully the doc's turn up soon so i can get the car registered

  19. well i mopped the car yesterday as the car looked matt white i dont think its ever been polished the paint work felt like sandpaper lol. Here the roof half and half. I done this using a mop and G3 cutting compound it took the best part of a day to do the whole car but has made such a difference ;) Picture is a bit shit as it was taken on my iphone
  20. well the car is now home The transport company meant to be picking the car up told me at 5o'clock on Thursday they couldnt pick it up and it had to be collected on the friday. I got back at 7 this morning done 1064miles in total
