Yeah just got to run it in for a few hundred miles before i can really play with it. Don't want to blow it up by not being patient. And yes it did make a difference insurance wise. A good noticable difference that im willing to pay for. When you hit boost and makes you smile it's worth paying for!! ;) Bourkey

Not forgetting Streetracer too. ;) Anyway i haven't had a chance to drive it much as im still messing around with the exhaust. The back box will hopefully be on tomorrow so i can actually drive it more than one mile. The times i do drive it though makes me smile big time . I love the sound of the turbo spooling up and the chatter when i let go of the throttle. I giggle like a girl everytime. I think i'll be laughing for months. Bourkey

It would be fantastic if i ever drove it. I have to wait until tomorrow now until the back box is sorted as i can't be bothered driving it around sounding like a V8. I did go for a quick ride earlier today though. I drove it about 1 mile and even thought im not going over 3.5k revs it's still fantastic. ;) Bourkey

Yeah the insurers sound like they are talking crap. You would know if there was two accidents by the crash marks on the back. The chances of you having two identical crashes on a car you have owned for a very short period of time are as slim as winning more than £1 on a scratch card. She sounds like a 1000000 watt bulb to me if she can crash in traffic. I just don't understand how it's done at all. It's just stop and start. If you go through a hedge at 50 it's clear why you crashed but if you can't even control your car at 10mph then i'd get a bus pass. Bourkey

Shit i completley forgot your from Scotland. Oh well. Give me until Monday if you want and i'll get you a good Scottish solicitor. You wont pay a penny they will...when they lose. Just clear something up for me, Is she denying the crash ever happened or that it just wasn't her fault. Just seems really stupid if it's the first. Why would exchange details? Pictures of you car will tell the story how it is. Even if you reversed into her it's her fault for not sounding her horn so your going to win either way. I just looked at the pictures as well. I can't believe how dumb people are. Bourkey

It's a rear end shunt if i remember correctly. Witnesses or not you would win. It is only under extremely rare circumstances you wouldn't win. I can't understand how some dumb shit would do it otherwise. It happened to my mates Punto. Someone drove into the side of him, dragged the case out for 8 months and whose fault did it end up being....hmmmm i wonder. You have posted about a dozen photos up of the rear of the car, make sure you keep them. Take as many pictures of the place where it happened, with a good diagram of how it happened and you will easily win it. Im going to be honest thou

@ JAG - i've just been looking at it from the front and your right. now im unsure about getting the lip. On the other hand i want it to be a sleeper. Oh the decisions. As for the price i haven't totaled it all up yet but i reckon engine, intercooler and other bits and bobs that i needed, it may be round the £1500 mark. To be honest that is a bargin for the conversion. @ Phil - Do it. @ Sparky - Catch tank will be on order in a few weeks probably. just gonna take it easy running it in and letting my bank card have a rest. Exhaust is sorted for the time being but a friend who builds r

The rotas are simply cheap copies of expensive JDM wheels. Don't get me wrong they do look good but i've also read all over the webabout them breaking quite easily. And Si has made a fantastic point as well. Why bother with the Rotas when you can have the real JDM wheels for less than Rotas from the Jap auctions. Up to you buddy. Bourkey

@ Phil - Yep It was all worth it. Im so chuffed about it's unreal. Everytime i drive it it seems to get more and more power. Must be everything running in. I can't wait to drive it when it's run in. @ Dub - Yeah just some minor things now. I've sorted the speedo out now and the exhaust is getting sorted tomorrow as is that tps sensor. i can't wait. Then i'll probably get a boost gauge. @ Rob - Cheers bud it was nice to see you too. I have to get one of them rev limiters though. It sounded so nice. @ Boostjunkie - Yep im loving the boost. It makes me smile everytime it boosts. I've not dri

Thanks guys @ Dean - If you need my help just give me a shout and im sure if i am not busy i can fly down with a couple of my mates who did my conversion as we have obviously done it now so we know what to do. To be honest though i doubt you will need our help. It's extremely easy. All you have to do is take your time and get a few mates to help you with your lifting. Also keep some money aside for anything that may crop up as you don't want to be stuck on axle stands because you didn't have the funds for a new part. Bourkey

Nope im not a mechanic at all. I know how to do a vast majority of the stuff but im weak so i can't undo anything tight. Also as much as i would love to take credit for it, most of it was the people around me. I just coordinated the swap really. Bourkey

UPDATE!!!!!! As you may or may not know the engine conversion has now been a complete sucess. I was expecting it to be days over the time i scheduled for it but it was only a couple of hours. I missed the Trafford Centre meet but the sacrifice was worth it. The problems i had with the swap are as follows I was stuck on getting the drive shaft couplings out of the diff It didn't come with exhaust bolts so i had to fly all over Manchester to find them on a Sunday The engine idled high when running as i put a pipe where it shouln't go (BULB) The tps needs modifying ever so slightly. Fecking R

Yep Dub and Markoos are correct in saying it was my fault. There was a few niggly bits at the end that took up time and i needed their help with. I will definately be there next time guys and girls. Sorry again Bourkey

This is all your getting until the sun comes out and i can take some proper pictures. Enjoy Bourkey

Hi all, After a year of planning my 4EFTE conversion went extremely smoothly and took a total of 19 hours with only a couple of minor hiccups. I would like to thank: Ian (Dub Se7en) - for the countless times coming to my house when i was in need and staying instead of going to the Trafford centre meet Phil - My mechanic who did a massive amount of work on the swap for me Alex (!Rush!) - For helping Phil in doing the swap Matt - My mate who was another set of hands and was there whne ever i needed Mark (Markoos) - Driving me all over Manchester to find two pissing bolts and staying instead

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The engine is completly sorted and running but we have come across a fecking problem. It idles at 2000 revs. It doesn't fluctuate up and down just a solid 2000 revs. I have Dub Se7en flying up to help now but if anyone else can shed any light on it i would appreciate it loads. As for any other problems i've had only the drive shaft problem and i needed to fly to a motor spares place to get some exhaust bolts. Apart form that no other problems. Sounds really nice though :) ;) Bourkey

As i am a perfectionist and want it right my dad is custom making some brackets tomorrow morning very early. Im getting up at 10am as im about to go on the drink. To do FMIC brackets Gearbox oil Hook up battery Push the starter button EVERYTHING else is all sorted. Fingers crossed im gonna make it to the trafford centre meet now. I'll put some pic up tomorrow as im in a rush. Bourkey

UPDATE!!!!! Engine is now out. It was out about an hour ago. We came across one minor problem as i didn't know how to get the drive shaft couplings out but a quick phone call sorted it out. I have just finished off adding the power loom to the new engine as the bulb who built it missed it out by mistake. The engine bay has just had a scrub up and we are about to start putting the new engine in. Bourkey

Well my personal deadline is on Sunday by 2pm as thats when the Trafford Centre meet is that i'd like to go to but i can carry on until the following Sunday if anything goes wrong as i have booked a week off work. Anyway an update on the swap!!!! The old engine is unfortunately still in the car. Due to us struggling with some very tight bolts that had not been undone in a very long time. But we have not had any problems at all we have just been slowed down a bit. The engine is now ready to come out. The mounts just need to be unbolted and it's coming out, which i'll be starting early Saturda

I always loved the Grand Theft Auto series and completed everyone but i stopped at San Andreas as i just didn't have the time any more. My favourite game back then though. I played on this GTA4 today though and im mega impressed with it. I was even considering buying a console and game to play it. But yet again i'd never use it and it would tick me off wasting that much dosh. Oh well i'll just continue completeing my mates one as he can't be arsed with it. Bourkey
