so what i need st185 calipers.. 318 bmw disc's.. but i dont understand what i need to modify to make them fit ?
kurt
hi
there is no modification needed it all fits on like an OEM set-up
the only engineering required is a shim/ washer under caliper mount because of miscalculation in measurement &a spigot adapter to centre disc on hub
does this make sense

hi
the civic radiator is a popular radiator upgrade in the starlet
who has used the chinese e-bay sourced radiator in mod or has any experience with these radiators is there any benefit in the 3 core over the 2 core ??? is quality good or shocking ??
or is there a better option??
any comment good or bad
thanks lyle

hi
wanted / wanted to know what is available in splitters /lips or what ever there called for frt/rear of a N/A starlet

hi
thanks guys for the replies but i already gathered that a bit of P& P will be of benefit . i was more interested in what the differences in C/R`s are between the 2 heads & any othe variables
i have a set of V/springs &billet c/shafts i was going to fit to my STD head , but will fit to this head instead if it can be proved to be a worthwhile up-grade

REVISED DIY brake upgrade
in Braking
Posted
hi josh
really would like to give this a go but it looks so complex! wat do you mean by make a donut and this part :the spigot on hub &disc are different sizes so machine a donut up to centre the disc
machining tip :machine to press on hub &it stays on hub when you remve disc or machine to press in make the spigot adapter to fit tight on hub or disc so if you take disc off the adapter stays on the hub or it comes offwith the disc
after trial fitting new parts I found I had mis calculated the hat/offset by 3mm no biggy I just shim out the caliper to centre on disc i used a couple of thick washers &longer mount bolts
can anyone do this or is it something a specialist would need to look at? i have a small lathe so i make my own stuff but any engineering shop can do it
hope that clears things for you
lyle
