  1. wat do you need to no about the vf turbos mate. the vf35 has the same internals as a vf30 and as of the vf34 but. for a monster turbo go for the vf30 the are the same but have a bigger exsaust housing thay have a p18 housing same as the vf34 but they are ball bearing to help spool. and the vf35 is non ball bearing same turbo but has a smaller saust housing wat is a p15 so good for spool can take 1.6 bar no more really same as the vf30 but they have bigger saust so they will push a bit more than the 35. i am on a 28 and it works well but are hard to come by. wat to no with vf series turbos is ballbearin ones can only do 1.4 bar and that is them any more it will go bang. the others good for 1.6 but if you are having issues let me no mate will tell you any thing you want to no about them as i am a vf nut lol

    personaly if i could find one on a 5e i would be putting a vf 30 on but they are rare but awsome turbo

  2. mine has done this and wat caused it to rev up and down was the throttle position sensor. and if not that and you have not altered any thing .

    one of your vacumes has came off some were or they are split and drawing in air

    or failing that possible inlet gasket leak

  3. i had these problems and i found it out to be another boost leak. my leak was coming from the arc dump valve it was not sealing and in turn i shafted 2 turbos finding what the problem is. if your cars wastegate is totally closed it is more than likely boosting like mad but it is leaking some were

  4. what time are you going to be setting off from yours? it will take a good hour from forton. my mates also coming in his V.

    on a different note how much did jdm charge for a set up?

    all fetch bean in the starbo she is due a good 250 280mile run out lol

  6. idrres naild it right on the head.

    when using the jack under the engine be sure to have a peice of wood to go between.

    and the side box mount i find it easier to take it off the box rather than off the car.

    it can be done on your own but hope you have a strong back and arms. and make sure you greese the input shaft were the thrust bearing goes as it will rattle like a fucker if you dont.

  7. barnsy he is cauld mate. the silver jdm one.

    i will have it lads telling you if it is last thing i do. in that case might have to go for 500 but have to get it to spool quick.

    thinking of going on bike carbs as i once seen a mini with a full race 1380cc engine in almost gain 40lbf of torque just from this. obviously there will be a new custom inlet to think about but my good old buddy jhon will sort it.

    alright fro he maybe is a long way a way but it is worth comining up and giving your car to get sorted for out at all. could stay at mine or pauls (bean) would not be a problem.

    had the compresion test and sniff test done 175, 174, 175, 175 psi on the cylinders and not a thing on the sniff ;)

  8. is that wat its signs of no worries mate. its the first time its done it. and its only since my mate told me to fill the expansion bottle with coolant. so i woonder if cause i have filled that with coolent but say if the radiator burps if that is acting like a sifen and taking coolent out the rad. will let you no tomorrow gona go my mates garage get a sniff test and a compresion test done

    and if thats the case wont be getting a new headgasket and just watch this space 400bhp here i go woop woop

  9. i have one mate and i have 3 graphs on my build thread. vf23 before td04 before and vf28 with.

    makes good power and pulls like a slut

    but dont think for one min you can just fit it like that mine was a night mare to be fare. i had to get a hole new bracket made up to mount my tps on. and dont talk to me about tps i have just been fixxing it again tonight it rattled off.

    but as you would be buying new am sure race tech would make the bracket to suiet wat ever tps you would be running either variable or normal like on the gts. i had a few issues with heating hose but not to much fuss. and also a stiff throttle but all it needed was a good loob up. hope this helps
