Hi, I purchased my car back from the insurance company since it has been written off. I will be picking it up in the morning. I am going to leave it in the garage as i will be away for a few months. I will have it on axle stands to prevent the tyres from getting flat spots. Should i do anything else like drain the oil and coolant? Thanks in advance Shahzad

No jezza never got back to me. I might try and get someone local to make up a few sets.

Im with kwik fit insurance. I pay 800 quick on my SR with 2 years no claims. If i stuck a glanza lump in they said it would go up by £800, for that price i can get insured on a glanza. so it dont really make a difference. They also said that i would have to notify the dvla to get my log book changed

I had a phone call today saying that its going to be written off as a cat c. They said that i could have £835 or i could have the car back and £720. So i have decided to get the car back as i dont want to let it go to the crusher. My long term plan is to use my glanza donor car to build a sleeper. Do i have to get the body repaired and have a vic check before i do the conversion or should i do all the work at once then try and get it on the road again?

Best to get a donor car so then you just strip all the bits that you need stright off. There is one on ebay at the mo. Im almost ready for my build but i am having problems with my insurance at the mo. I do night shifts when im offshore. The best tip i can give you is to stay up as late as you can the day before so you sleep through most of the following day and get up before your shift. My shift pattern is 3days on and then 2 days off continuosly for 6 weeks then a few weeks off. It takes a week for your body clock to adjust then its all good.
