it will have been the knock sensor mate. the knock sensor is one of the leading factors in adjustment of fuel. also taggy, you still have to show me this soon! haha. still no news on a car for me yet though but when i do get one we'll go out for a drive so you can show me the best roads and take some pictures

under the fuel pressure regulator theres a small pipe that goes into the number 1 runner on the inlet manifold, you havent left that off or knocked it off on accident. its in the area of the alternator so may have knocked it off

no dude, its been covered a few times pistons are different, valve springs are different, thermo housing is different, sump is different, sump pickup is different, rods differ between some models, tb is different, inlet manifold is different, injectors are different, it doesnt have a knock sensor, the attatchment for the oil filter cant be bolted onto the block, theres extra pipes on the coolant temp sensor housing for lines to the turbo distributor cap is different external coil ignition system fuel pressure regulator is different theres more to the list but i cant think of them off the top of my head at the moment

why would it be the cambelt? hes hasnt touched that. water pump runs on the same belt as the alternator. chances are you've put something back on wrong like a vacuum pipe or left a vac pipe off somewhere

have you had it aligned or checked to know if the camber is the same both sides, or 4 wheels aligned to make sure its tidy?

theres supposed to be a rubber o-ring around it aswell this happened to mine just before a dyno run, couldnt get it to boost past 0.5
