it fits over the section of the barrel that the key goes into, the problem lies with the actual plastic cowling/trim around the steering column. i am SURE toyota must have modified cowling for cars with the illuminated surround, but as yet i havnt been able to find a breaker with them on it, so i had to do a neat-ish stanley knife trim job to make mine fit.
