  1. Ah right so with the mtx can I just cut the wire to the standard lambda and solder the output wire from the mtx to this and problem solved it will fit in the hole for the standard lambda?
  2. I thought the mtx-1 didn't need calibrating? Erm does the aem have the output to the ecu? And Does this mean i can remove the old narrowband and use this instead?
  3. Looking at getting a wideband soon, and have had a few different opinions, what do people recommend...here are a few suggested ones i've been looking at: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INNOVATE-MTX-L-AFR-Wideband-Air-Fuel-Ratio-Gauge-3844-/300506017816?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45f78df018 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INNOVATE-DB-RED-LED-WIDEBAND-GAUGE-KIT-LC-1-02-SENSOR-/300378724688?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45eff79950 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AEM-GAUGE-6-in-1-TYPE-WIDEBAND-UEGO-CONTROLLER-30-4100-/300378623904?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&a
  4. Ah I see, do any come with a stainless boss to weld in as I don't fancy butchering my exhaust and putting a mild one in lol?
  5. With Virgin, regardless of times if your computer can handle it you should get 59meg plus constantly from a wired test ;)
  6. I heard it was like 35 inches away from turbo or something? I was gonna get the bung welded shortly after the decat? Only thing is ive seen a lot of these come with mild steel bungs, can you get an SS one as my fujitsubo is all SS and dont wanna fuck it by welding a mild bung in?
  7. ooh, that sounds good then, how much we talking and is there any bad points about that one?
  8. Theres loads lol, I would prefer self calibrating but have no idea what to go for other than thaT?
  9. Ah cool, I heard akyakapotters wideband broke shortly after he got it so dunno whether to get one of theirs or an innovate? As for the boost and oil pressure, not sure whether to go for the ones like yours Amjad or Like this for ease of viewing at speed: />http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=U5p3017EAhU
  10. Not trying to spam your thread, but am I right in thinking the cruise knobs are quite small? Mine came in a bag rather than box from rhd Japan and I wanted to make sure mine was genuine
  11. Ah cool, I shall get a new gauge, most likely depo then and go from their, not sure if depo wideband are any good as I want a wideband soon also
  12. Explain the second bit again lol? Erm and its just a cheap one ATM until next month, I'm assuming the spike over is the fact the controller is holding the wastegate closed longer than the boost tee did and so the gauge can't react quick bough as the Ebc gauge doesn't show a spike. I think the gauge is accurate though as the gauge with my old ecu used to read 0.8 bar but if I turned it up any more it would fuel cut indicating 0.85 was reached? Think I'm gonna get one of those depo stepper motor boost gauges with the manual and digital readout in the corner of they're any good?
  13. There is a pipe from the inlet mani that tees off, one to boost controller as you said and one to the side port of wastegate. I've kinda got it sorted anyway, but it's like with the controller set on 1 bar I get 0.8 bar, and at 1.2 bar I get 0.95 to 1 bar, reckon ill try a 0.8 spring and then if not get a better Ebc?
  14. hmm, not sure why it wouldnt work then, do i need the bottom port teed off the intake mani? or cant u leave that open
  15. I've tried a few places, craigs will do it single line if its a 5 digit plate, im looking at getting a private plate with 6 digits, but need it to be on one line to make sense lol
  16. Oh? I'm confused now? Could someone maybe tell me from them instructions which port goes where as I'm confused There's a port on the back for bleeding off I've left open, but other 3 were connected
  17. Lovely car gltwts Could you measure your rear plate for me please, or tell me where to get one with it printed on one line?
  18. Only gave it one boot mate as I'm wanting to check the fuelling first, it didn't do it on that occasion but then again it's piss wet through so due to lack of traction 1 bar in second wasn't easily achieved lol
  19. Haha deffo worth doing an ignition timing, seems a bit smoother an easier boosting but may just be me, not hammering it though till I can find someone with a wideband, proving difficult though and I'm not gonna be able to affor done till next month lol
  20. Micky what you thinking to rrfpr and ecu, I assumed it weren't needed? My mate isn't sure if his wideband is working right, dunno who else has one so think ill have to get one if not :/
  21. Nah it ain't fuel cut is at 0.85, so was right on the limit lol
  22. Any reason why? I hear that's not a good idea and they confuse it? Boost at 0.8 on the old ecu did the same thing once or twice I'm sure, that was with old plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm however
  23. Ah cool, ignition timing was slightly out, have set that and gapped the plugs at 0.9 as weirdly after checking with a new gauge set one was 0.6, the other 0.7, other 0.75 and I can't remember the last but they're all a nice equal 0.9 Just need to make some det cans tomorrow, find someone with a wideband and hope that's all ok Checked cam timing as well, spot on an cam gears are aligned perfectly together also
