  1. Yeah I think the wiring would be able to be done in a weekend, Once you get your head around it and you understand what's what it'll be easy. I find with wiring and electrics it's best to focus on one wire/circuit at a time. When you start looking st the bigger picture it becomes a head ache!
  2. That's a great bargain! I've often thought about dropping a FTE lump in my e11, it would certainly catch a lot of people off guard. Loving the red e11 aswell 👍
  3. That's a good find that mate. deffinatly seems the way to go! At least your interior will stay untouched. You'll just have to figure out how they run through the fuse box. Or add an aftermarket fuse block for the FTE additions.
  4. Ahhh yeah I forget that's in a different place, we've just mounted the ecu in the space in front of the gear lever. It's sits quite nicely in there. The easiest way to do that would be to pull the pins out of the 4e ecu plugs and re wire them to the FTE ecu plugs and just add the FTE wires to that. At least then it would only need a few wires extending if needs be. In theory you shouldn't need to worry about mucking around trying the get the FTE engine loom to fit the interior loom because you've basically building a 91 turbo loom. I like it 👍
  5. So are you cutting up the FTE loom and just adding the turbo bits to the 4e loom? Wouldn't it be easier to just use the FTE all together?
  6. Ambers do look good bud! Rather you than me doing it outside looks pretty wet and muddy!
  7. Cheers mate, yeah we've checked all the others throughly and the rest are fine, as soon as we took no1 out the piece dropped out. Just lucky it stayed in place and didn't score the block.
  8. Got the engine stripped down today. The thing I love most about these cars is it can be driven In the workshop and then fully stripped down and pistons out within an hour and half. So simple yet can still run big power! Found the reason for the excessive amount of blue smoke anyway. Piston number one has broken fortunately the part that's broke stayed intact and didn't score the block at all. Luckily we called it a day at santa pod after 2 runs because I think we'd have completely ruined this engine if we'd have done a 3rd. Shells wernt too bad but we deffinatly caugh them just in time! So no
  9. As above, just stripped down our engine and piston number one is cracked. Has any one got a single or set of standard 4efte pistons?
  10. I think the rings got damaged when the head lifted, as it was fine before hand. Ideally we should have replaced the lot when we had the head off but due to time we just did a quick fix. Engine will be coming out over the next couple of weeks and we'll have a good look at it and see what's gone on
  11. We never had a probably with just one breather before the head lifted so I suspect the rings are gone. We removed the pcv valve and put that clear pipe in which vents to the floor to try and help the smoke/pressure
  12. Done a few runs up santa pod today, quickest time was 15.1 but the engines in a seriously bad way! Bellowing out blue smoke pretty much all the time, pouring oil from pretty much every gasket on then engine and its building up so much pressure it's done the no3 rocker cover to spark plug gasket and forcing the coil pack to pop out. Managed to nurse it home okay which was a major relief. Plans for it now are fully strip down the engine replace upgrade any parts the need it, strip back the interior and engine looms get rid of anything we don't need and then put it back together a lot tidier and
  13. Well had an interesting couple of days with this thing. Thought we'd put some miles on it to make sure everything was running good and it was reliable after being mapped. First couple of days it was fine boosting well and nice and reliable, then on the way home one night cruising along it 60mph it cut out, dirty rattle and seriously lacking power! Managed to nurse it of the motorway and then got it towed back to work yesterday to find no compression in cylinders 1 & 2. So we took the head off and found this.... As you can see the head gasket has gone between 1 & 2 and starting
  14. Yeah that's exactly what it's doing now, just flashing continually. I'm going to wiring in the ep91 clocks just curious as to what it meant on an auto.
  15. Randomly the orange O/D button light flashes at the bottom of the auto combination meter were using. It rarely happens but When it starts flashing it'll flash in 1 second intavals. The cars not and auto so none of the auto wirings plugged in. It doesn't affect the car in anyway either
  16. I got mine mapped the other day, TD04 with full decat though and that made 223hp at around 1.1bar
  17. Very nice mate, I wish ours was as clean as this!
  18. looks good mate, can't beat a Ts for a daily. If you've still got the standard shocks and top mounts it's probably a top mount knocking and with the Passenger seat there's a pin that's welded to the seat frame that disengages the lock to allow it to slide it's probably snapped.
  19. Yeah true it's toyo sports mani which I presume is stainless, then a full decat stainless exhaust that doesn't weigh much. What ever the weight is, it's been on a serious diet! I'll take it to a few places next week and see what they say.
  20. Well this started out as a standard uk ep91 NA, with literally everything removed from the inside and considering the added weight with turbo, intercooler ect id say it's probably lost around 50-70kgs? Making it between 750kg and 780kg?
  21. Cheers mate, yeah it's great fun to drive now! If the standard weight Is 940kgs then yeah they're scales must have been way out, there's no way we've lost that much! there's a few other places around I'll take it there and see what it comes up with. I'd hope for anywhere around the 850kg mark. Our highest setting on the boost controller is set to 1.2 bar, it probably goes to just below that, I can't say I've noticed too busy keeping my eyes on the road, something might be slightly out.
  22. Whats standard weight, 840kg? It's now completely stripped, interior, sound deadening, electric windows, roof lining, the lot, the only thing in it is 1 seat and a stripped down dash...
  23. Cheers guys, it drives spot on now. You can cruise it round normally but when you put your foot down the thing just takes off! I think the limit before forging is around 240, but you never know forging could be on the cards, depends if we blow it up 🙂
  24. And there it is....223.4bhp at 1.2bar! Apprently the map already on the emanage had a password on so It got scrapped and started fresh. First runs were 108hp, 144hp, and 168hp and with everything looking good with no det we left it at 1.2bar and tweeked it from there. We're over the moon with the result as we were aiming for anything over 200hp, We probably could have squeezed a bit more but that's safe and more than enough power on standard internals! The sound of the thing on boost now is crazy and very addictive! We also got it weighed propperly on a digital scale and it's currently wei
  25. Looks great mate! Can't beat a custom job!
