  1. That's what I did last night Rory and is sorted, I knew those bottom 2 shouldn't have been open lesson learnt! Cheers guys!
  2. Cheers guys, Ben I'd have tried Ultra ones but the laws are changing at the end of the year and they'll then be illegal, so it wouldn't be money wisely spent! Liam, I'll probably come if I get the car tidied up as it looks a bit shit right now. The bonnet needs painting, the car needs a flat and polish and the spoiler needs fitting - those are the main things anyway. Phil cheers bro means a lot! Now covered 430 miles and boosting at 0.64 bar, safe to say it feels fairly awesome. The TD05 spools nicely on the 5E so there's no issue with lag, pulls well to 7300rpm too. Jobs for tomorrow: Anot
  3. Another thing I've noticed is there's 4 threaded holes on the bottom side of the wastegate, 2 are the top ones as pictured but the bottom 2 near the screamer are left open as I wasnt supplied any blanking plugs. Do they need to be blocked off? Looks as if they should be blocked.
  4. I've removed the wastegate and it only fits one way, so the flanges are welded wrong on the manifold and screamer if it's the wrong way, and that's quite unlikely! Just to confirm: Manifold side: Screamer side:
  5. Can you tell if it's fitted wrong by looking at these pictures?
  6. Just tried that. No difference at all. Can't hear the screamer pipe at all when it boosts either.
  7. Sparly that's exactly how I had mine set before and it was still over boosting even with the boost set to minimum on the AVCR. So I tried to without the EMB but still the same! Dean which nipple should be vented to atmosphere then, any idea?
  8. Cheers guys! I want to start giving it some boost now but it keeps over boosting. Tried to run the wastegate in every different way, with different springs pressures too but nothing is helping.
  9. I've tried all sorts with the vac lines but nothing is curing the over boosting. I've tried both springs that were originally inside the wastegate individually but still too much boost. I've found that this is the way I should be set up to run off the wastegate spring pressure, which is 0.7 bad according to Tials website, I've used the thinner soft spring now but it still reaches 1 bar of boost. Opened up the wastegate and that seems to be opening and closing properly too, have I done something wrong here?! Also the vac lines are not leaking as I've checked it. I've tried to vent either top
  10. Cheers guys, the HIDs are blinding other drivers and I can feel their frustration, so they're going! A few jobs done: Boost controller fully fitted Oil sandwich plate purchased and fitted New water pump/alternator belt fitted New head unit fitted and wiring tidied Magnecore HT leads purchased and fitted TPS adjusted so now runs and idles perfectly Spoiler half painted (primed and groundcoated) - thanks to my cousin Shaq who did this while me and my mate Usman did the other bits Civic radiator purchased Clifford G5 concept alarm system purchased Radiator and alarm should be here and fitted b
  11. I take it we'll get them on the day instead of them being posted out then?
  12. Stand pass, I didn't purchase any track time.
  13. What pistons and rods? The stock ones need pressing out. Aftermarket ones have clips holding them on either side of the gudgeon pin.
  14. Just to let you know Steve, my ticket hasn't arrived yet?
  15. Beautiful example, well deserved too. Best of luck with it mate!
  16. Cheers guys, at first I thought it looks okay without a spoiler but now I think it looks quite ugly without it Here's what's still left to do (the main bits): Wire in boost controller Refit power steering Fit Civic radiator when it arrives Remove HID kit and replace with Philips Xtreme Power bulbs Buy and fit an oil sandwich plate Connect gauges Fit a new head unit Calibrate speedo & water temp needles Adjust TPS Paint bonnet and spoiler Flat and polish car Fit missing interior trims Buy an alarm system
  17. Cheers guys, totally agree about the spoiler - looks naked without it. Not sure when the spoked will be painted/fitted though.
  18. Cheers guys, certainly feels good to be on the road. I'm sure I'll enjoy it a lot more with the power steering back in though, especially if it stops the steering wheel juddering. Cheers, yeah I totally agree, the low down torque makes driving up hill easier! That's not true, I don't know anyone who has had 'big power gains' by using any 5E cams in a 4E. The 5E-FHE has a 30degree higher lift than all the other cams, this should make an improvement but I doubt it would be a huge improvement! Anyway, the cars now covered 230 miles and everything is good apart from a slight judder which I'm
  19. Looks good, not sure on the whole marmite thing though as it looks like a normal Glanza with Rota GT3s!
  20. Cheers guys, not sure about JF2 yet. I have a stand pass so I'll try to be there. The cars now back on the road with a new alternator, I've already clocked up 157 miles in the first day of driving. Quick pic with my mates B18 EG.. There are small problems that need sorting such as the throttle cable sticking, brakes still need sorting as they don't work well, steering juddering a little which I'm hoping will be sorted when the power steering is back in at some point this week. Also need an oil sandwich plate so the gauges can finally be connected. Other than that, the engine itself runs
  21. Do you know these could actually do more bad than good? The engine runs at the manufacturers temp for a reason.
