  3. having tried to this out myself (having a tsport) in a straight line and both in stock format, there was very little difference between them - comes down to driver(gear changes) as opposed to the car itself (ignore parkers performance figures for the corolla they are incorrect, however the type r handles alot better in stock form compared to the t sport (the facelift does handle better as it sits 15mm lower than the prefacelift). As for value for money, the corolla wins hands down in my opinion, for £2500 you can pick up a facelift with 75k on the clock thats been looked after, comapre that to a type r and your looking at a prefacelift with 120k on the clock and been ragged, plus its cheaper to insure the t sport. If you are planning on modifying either car, then theres alot more mods out there and improvements for the civic compared to the corolla.

  21. jsut watched it on iplayer, its about a guy called ben who bought his glanza 3 years ago, month after ownership, engine died. He sent it to a reptuable specialist called wincanton motorsport who advised they would carry out the work, ben gave them a 1500 deposit for the work to be done. around 12 months (iirc) he gave them another £1600 (both payments on credit card) to finish the job off, 3 years after the car went in, it still wasnt done, they was able to get the car back (from the programme the car looked a right shed!) they was able to claim money back from both credit cards as work carried out by wincanton wasnt up to standard. So they now have the car back (not running) but most importantly have been refunded the £3100 they paid to the garage to repair it.
