  4. just reread this - didnt realise you was going on about JF2 - i was tired last night. RSR are a very good tyre, not as grippy as r888(not by much) however i believe they offer better value for money than the 888s. Im not going to be doing open pit lane at jf2, theres too many idiots out there for my liking, was a few close incidents last year, and with the open pit lane - mixed abilities on track, people will be out for longer than 20mins and not realise about tyres/fluids getting too hot - just accident waiting to happen.
  5. Slicks are allowed - they changed the rules Cars are permitted to use slick tyres if the weather conditions are suitable. This does not apply to Novice or Intermediate session drivers. Read more: Track Time Rules | Japfest http://www.japfest.co.uk/2012/05/15/track-time-rules/#ixzz2S4wpwmWU
  6. No full slicks allowed - semi slick tyres such as r888 are fine. I've used Tarmac rally tyres before and had no issues. Alsong as the tyres have decent cut grooves in you should be fine. I've used t1rs and aslong as you keep them at right tyre pressure (they increase dramatically on track) that will prelong life on track
  7. No different to the generic starlet front mounts...
  8. get some plastic bags (shopping bags) cover the important electrical items in the bay - ie fuse box, dizzy, battery etc etc, some all purpose cleaner - you can buy some from halfords or even get some supermarket stuff (ie tesco daisy) but if supermarket make sure you dilute it around 10-1. Spray on, aggitate with brush/cloths - rinse off. Pressure washers are good but can get water everywhere, ive got a little hand held pressure spraying bottle (£5 from argos) ideal for small jobs like this.
