  1. isnt that going to alter the preload though?
  2. also may be worth dropping jarrod a message to see how he got on with his - his rears are a similar ride height to yours but appear to have more adjustment left. http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/59948-black-beauty/
  3. Oh nice user name
  4. arent CJ doing a gb on these? may be worth speaking to them to see if they can offer any advice - ie make sure youve got the correct parts etc as opposed to it being a manufacturer/design flaw
  5. I'd say cusco that's been repainted
  6. Nice to meet you yesterday And made some great numbers too for the spec - who needs a td04!
  7. Greg at protuner mapped a fair few in his time
  8. probably be a bit safe - you got afr graph to confirm if this is the case? and also running on 95ron would have an impact aswell.
  9. Nice to meet you briefly yesterday - dont see many advances left these days - keep looking after her!
  10. Proper sleeper - love it
  11. Rota lacquer their wheels, so using a metal polish is a no no as its too abrasive, use normal polish/sealent/wax you would normally do so on your bodywork. If you got lacquer peak you will need to rub them back by wet sanding and polish them back up with the likes of autosol and some 000 fine grade wire wool. Check out britemaxx metal twins, ones a metal polish, the other is a metal sealent - seals the finish and keeps shiny for longer
  12. go to your local paint shop - however halfords will make it up for you, however they seem to be pretty hit and miss when it comes to accuracy of colour matches to actual colour. Just tell them toyota 205
  13. Awesome polishers - the best out there currently!
  14. How much you want for it? Would look good on my rb25
  15. Ah a friends old glanza, the roof/back end was set on fire (pizza box), hence the reason for the mismatch of colour. I know he replaced the engine on it once if not twice. It was then sold to a friend of his, then another friend of his bought it off him.
  16. If you have an aftermarket ecu like an Emanage then you can use stock fpr. If you are using an fcd without management then yes you will need an fpr
  17. It just assists directing flow into the turbo.I only have mine for show purposes and track days - rest of time it's got a good old k&n on it Unless you have a larger front facing turbo I wouldn't bother.
  18. it's a hks one Just search google for velocity stack/turbo trumpet there's a few places that sell them - mine was £130 new
  19. get what velocity stacks??
  20. either a sausage splatter or a sieve to use as the mesh - then the trumpet is a veloctiy stack Ive just ordered a sausage splatter for mine :
  21. the is too much air going into the turbo and it cant cope with it, so you need to either increase the wastegate size, or restrict the air going in. So either port the wastegate/go external gate or put the efi pipe and air filter back on and that should help. The colder denser air will make it spike more, so i would also suggest turning the boost down for the colder days
  22. Hit and miss whether you get stung for import tax etc, if you do it's cheaper to get a unit from a trader in the UK - plus usually quicker! If you were a good person in a previous life then it will skip through customs unnoticed and you'll get a bargain. Only way of telling the fake to real units is stripping them down checking the springs and the castings on the inside.
  23. Yeah japfest at coombe has sold out pretty quick this year - similar to like it did last year has to be early. Luckily ive bought some just after it went on sale, and you can always pick some up on the day - just got to ask around. My only concern with the open pitlane at JF2 is that you are going to have a lot of mixed abilities on track, up to 40 cars, and some people with no idea to call it time after 20mins when they start to suffer brake fade and as a result casue an accident! As for sound checks, coombe is pretty strict at 100db static - however they dont have any drive by checks. Where as at donnington its 100db static and 98db on drive by - those with screamers usually get pulled off The drive by is usually on the pit wall somewhere, and with majority of screamers pointing this direction, youll be getting black flagged so you will either need to lift off and cruise, or look into modding the screamer to queiten it down - ie have it pointing out towards the drivers side/plumbed back into exhaust should help
  24. Autodel - hes the guy that tuning developments use - very competitive http://www.autodelrecovery.co.uk/
