  1. I've wrapped the cold side of my intercooler pipe work in this http://www.tuningdevelopments.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=330&osCsid=mlu01pcdp7viuqlqlrmej1tie5
  2. blitz spec r - job done
  3. helmet only
  4. Hub dynos (which measure at wheels/hub) are different to say a traditional chassis dyno and will give you different results at the wheels/hubs even dynopack have confirmed this! Agreed with flywheel calculation......but thats what 99.9% of owners talk in and use in a willy waving contest.
  5. Thats incorrect ricky. But anyway back to original discussion.
  6. castle coombe (effectivly near bristol) - its a smidge over 2hours from lancs
  7. At the moment there is only tuning developments that have posted up a dyno graph of the billet td04 kits that they do (made 299bhp)- i know when i have spoke to mike in the past he says that he has overlaid various dyno graphs of their td04 manifolds and the spool time is quicker compared to other manifolds out there. I know ricky has posted a partial dyno graph of this 350bhp turbo kits but that uses a garret turbo and not a td04, but results look impressive so far and ive not seen any graphs about his td04 billets he was doing. WEPR im unsure of their hybrid turbos, ive seen a few of their godzilla kits but none seem to make the power that they claim too - whether thats a mapping issue/engine/turbo im unsure, but not everyone posts results on forums, so i could be wrong. I have issues with that leaderboard (LOL) as all different dynos, some im predicting that some havent been calibrated/serviced in years, which will result in giving different figures, plus different dynos calculate bhp differently, if you think about a 10% difference in the result - your talking like 25-30bhp. Thats assuming that the operater hasnt fudged the dyno figures to read higher - i know other tuners have done this in the past to make their kit better than other kits (not in the starlet world). RANT OVER LOL
  8. spoke to a few owners of racetech manifolds at shows and meets, and a few have said they have cracked - in the end ricky has rewelded/fixed them. WEPR - a few of the early ones (talking 3-4 years ago) cracked, but i know sacha sorted the customers out - even sending a friend a replacment manifold free of charge, but not heard about any issues with the newere recent kits they produce. either which way, i think if you were to have any issues, both companies would resolve the issues for you.
  9. It's for built in air ride Low drops it 30mm from stock
  10. Tial for me personally Seem to be alot of copies of turbosmart ones selling cheap ie £110 where as the tial fake ones sell for similar money to new ones. Just get one from a proper trader and not eBay
  11. All depends on what your budget is and future plans for the car - in most cases an Emanage blue or ultimate will do the job. Tuning developments in Warrington are very popular on here - lots of people from all other the uk go to see them
  12. May bring the 200 out of hibernation
  13. you learn something new everyday Even uses the z32 maf too
  14. Sure That for a starlet? They don't use mafs as you will use map sensor.
  15. Yup as that would indicate stem seals as there is oil even before its reached the turbo.
  16. only way to confirm is to take the manifold off and make sure there is no oil that side, if there is oil in the turbien exhaust housing then this would indicate turbo issue. or try another proven working turbo
  17. Will be turbo dude. If its really annoying you then change the turbo for another one
  18. id say turbo seals
  19. yup
  20. http://www.tuningdevelopments.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=624&products_id=444&osCsid=gh60jpbpnhgi2h4df7vi8nj5d5
  21. jammy bastard
  22. they x line ones?
  23. blue is just fuel and ignition amendments - wont do launch control/antilagg
  24. have a drive up to the guys at tuning developments
  25. I had defis, sold them as I wanted different colour backgrounds to the ones I had, got a good deal on stri ones (boost oil temp/pressure and water) and there was no difference in the figures displayed - so can't fault the accuracy of them and have have a real touch of quality to them - you can tell they aren't a cheap autosport gauge. All comes down to budget, ill be keeping these gauges for when I get another car after my 200 Oh I previously have had auto gauge ones years ago when I had my starlet, had 1 gauge fail and 2 sensors.
