    I wouldn't run the engine on an old oil pump! If it fails your engine will die! You don't want that after you've just spent all that money on getting it forged

    Ok after all that I opened it, it was just a small piece of glue that came adrift! So I now have peace of mind I did take a quick picture whilst it was open I can post it up for you all to have a look tomorrow, although it looks just like a standard ECU. It doesn't have a daughter board but I've read that not all them do? Thanks for all your help, I was in panic mode

    I'm worried that if it's a resistor rattling around in there it might blow the whole ECU

    I found someone on the the MR2 Owners Club that has opened a ECU, he didn't mention it not working after?! Clicky
