Well what a weekend! Still in Blunsdon at the moment so it's all not over yet as the diff bearing or wheel bearing is whining like mad so just going to ease it down to Pembroke dock this morning and nurse it home. I came very close to smashing the car to bits on a few occasions but I'm delighted I made it as far as Japfest and met all the crew. A big thanks to everyone who helped me make it to the show. All in although I haven't totted it all up exactly between ferries, accommodation, tow trucks, fuel and paying lads I must have spent over 2200 quid all in getting the car to Japfest. Nightmare. But anyway we made it eventually As for the couple of lads above regarding PM's my inbox is bursting with parts enquiries and because of what happened over the weekend I've hardly been online since Thursday. I am home tonight please god and I will be back to normal on Monday and reply then. It's a lot for one person to keep on top of everything as I sell on other forums, not just UKSO, plus have my EP Performance Facebook page to keep on top on, break cars, fix cars, sell cars, source cars and parts, deal with couriers, sorting tracking numbers and then trying to work on my own builds aswel. As I have always said before If its urgent and you can't get me my mobile number is in all my ads. Anyway time for a lie down... I'm exhausted!

Right lads who cursed me with a voodoo doll this week? come on admit it!? Yaristurbo im looking at you... haha On a serious not we just arrived near Castle Coombe and checked into a hotel. The only problem is... The car is still in Pembroke in Wales...BUT Fear not fellow Starlet addicts... My mate will be landing in Holyhead at 12:20pm with a new rear half shaft from my red ep85. I paid for his ferry for him and his girlfriend so have the beers on tap when we arrive. He's gotta drive 4 hours to me and then we have to head to Pembroke probably another 2 hours odd drive and fit the shaft and then back up to Castle Coombe for the show. Being realistic we will miss the convoy down (fucking raging) but we WILL make the show, albeit a bit late. We should hit the area around 9-9:30am. Is there any car washes near the venue? The car is destroyed with dirt its simply embarrassing but at this stage I couldn't really give a shite as half the body kit I had to take off to get on the ferry is in the car, it's covered in muck and oily hand prints and the rear half shaft is snapped. Gonna be a long night ahead but a few Red Bull's, about 800 fags and a few Irish spec CD's to keep us buzzing should see us through. And before anyone asks... No I will not be doing rings or drifting the car once we get it back together! Lol

Well guys I'm on the boat now so have no internet on my phone I'm on a shitty pay as you go computer here lol Been on the road since late last night, drove down through Ireland and stayed overnight to catch the ferry across to Pembroke in Wales this morning. Car seemed to be driving fine apart from a couple of small noises but this morning I came sideways out of a junction near the boat and I heard a bang then clunk, clunk, clunk... I thought I had snapped another halfshaft so jacked it up under the rear axle and checked both back wheels for play and there was none. I made sure everything was tight and it was. I drove the car slowly down to the boat and the noise was barely noticeable. Under load while accelearting I cant hear anything but when I let off it starts banging and it seems to be getting worse. I got down to the boat and had to take off the front bumper, grill and sideskirts and adjust up the coilovers so the car could go up the ramp it was a right disaster! I'm going to change the diff oil when I arrive around 12:30 and try and prolong the diff as long as possible and take any filings away from it. I reckon the weld has broke in the rear diff. The car is still driving I'm just afraid of the back end locking up while driving. At this stage I just want to get it to Japfest does anyone have a rear diff or parts available or do yas reckon my own diff is fixable? Money isnt an issue I will pay good money to get the car right again I just dont want to get stuck over here :/ I will be online again once I land. Lads how bad is it going into Castle Combe? Any big ramps or holes that I should be worried about? Just I planned on dropping the Coilovers low on arrival in the UK

Was supposed to give it to my valeter for 4 days so he could do a full detail on it... It will be lucky if it gets a car wash before we leave

Got a bit more done but for everything I got done I seemed to run into more hassle with stuff not fitting... :/ Fitted the new alloy power steering reservoir and replaced the OEM clips with proper jubilee clips as the standard clips weren't gripping the hoses tight enough... I bought brand new blue Samco hosing and ran it from the alloy half rad to the expansion bottle. I used a few black plastic OEM clips off other Starlets to pin it neatly to the front panel... In went a new Cusco oil catch can and I made up some braided lines to suit it... So that's what went right today... Here's what went wrong lol After making up new Intercooler piping so the rad would sit down level with the front panel, the bottom rad hose is now touching the side exit exhaust which will definitely melt it. I have absolutely no room for adjustment anywhere. I fitted small rubbers to the feet of the rad to bring it up slightly but it wasn't enough. I heat wrapped the bottom section of the exhaust and wrapped the end of the bottom rad hose in heat reflective tape but it was still burning into it... So out came the rad and off I went to an aluminum welder... He cut the bottom outlet pipe on the rad and re-welded it at a steeper angle. I brought the rad back and the rad modification had worked a treat. The bottom rad hose was no longer touching the exhaust. One job done. Finally! Next is to make up a bracket to hold up the HKS SSQV dumpvalve so it can be seen through my grill it's temporarily held with a cable tie at the moment

It's just one thing after another for me :/

I cut too much off it at the beginning. Had a root around the shed and found another adjustable Panhard rod with rose jointed ends but I couldn't find the tapered inserts to fit it so I had to cut and extend the other one again... I'm going to make up another one when I'm home from Japfest UK but it will do for now.

Those measurements were wrong lads but I got it in the end. This is how the car sits with the coilovers adjusted to their lowest point. They might settle down a tad more but the only way of getting it any lower now would be to remove one of the locking rings are use a shorter spring. The front coilovers still need to be dropped more but they are set quite high at the minute so I can get the car onto the boat. I will adjust them down on arrival in the UK.

See I'm reading that you need to remove 70-95mm from the Panhard rod but is that from the standard ep85 Panhard rod or the Glanza / GT adjustable one? Because the Glanza / GT one is a lot longer (70mm plus). I took 70mm off the standard ep85 Panhard rod and then cut my adjustable one down to the same size but now I am wondering is this too short?

Yeah I got an ep85 specific drivers rail but I still need a passenger side. Did you cut 70mm off the standard one or off the adjustable Panhard rod shorty?

Ignore the dirt and dust on it and there's black running out of the window rubbers but that's just from lying up a good wash again and it will be perfect
