So some of you may know i have had a little electrical issue over the past couple of days, basically the car just died at work with no explanation. after having some mates look , the AA look they could not find the issue. so at this point i thought im screwed over christmas now so may aswel get it towed home!


so after some of your advice and doing some research i thought the first port of call is to check the loom in the wheel arch! after looking at it there was no signs of ware or rubbing so i really didnt think it could be the problem. but after doing some tests and not finding anything else i thought i should really open up the loom to confirm its not the issue


so once i got in the thick of it ( i also hate electrics with a passion ) i found that a few wires had been rubbed previous but was not causing any issues. however on inspection of all the wires i found two that has corroded away. i fixed them two and the car jumped to life!

best feeling in the world fixing it by myself (y)

Managed to grab this bargain for £30 delivered! gave the carbon a polish and the ends a lick of paint and its looking fresh!

a little update!

Finally got my Jimmy Up steering wheel fitted and it look so awesome!


Also fitted my new intercooler over the weekend and it now has no more boost leaks! However it has uncovered a new problem :/ i will put my foot down and when i hit boost at about 4k the car has a massive misfire. i thought it was fuel cut to start with but it does it intermittently so not all the time... ordered new spark plugs and fuel filter to see if that will solve this (y)

So i think i have found the cause of the shitty fuel consumption! i was told it could be a boost leak causing the issue so i set out to make my own boost leak tester, trip to B&Q and a few silicone joiners and glue and hay presto! so i put it all on the intercooler pipework and pumped up the pressure to 1 bar and my god there was so many leaks! holes in the core, joiners not sitting properly and so on.

So i have bought a new core, new hoses and some heavy duty clamps that should hold them nice and tight!

i also was having a play with my camera the other night and was appreciating the rear end of this car, Such a fine booty..



Cars booked in with Clarky at Doratech this thursday for the clutch to be changed, hopefully my legs will be the same size again soon!

Looking good mate catch can locations are personal preference I beleave I don't think there's any proper place for them

Sorry i dont mean the location i mean how they are set up as in what pipe comes from where and should it be open to atmosphere or vacuumed etc I've set it up like this as the previous owner just had a pipe leading to the floor and it was making a mess underneath so this way i can keep my bay nice and clean!

Did away with the monster energy shitty catch can that actually made oil go everywhere and got a proper one.

i relocated back and went for a black one to make it subtle



I've been trying to find via the forums the best way to have the catch can set up but it seems so vague lol

Do you prefer it to the glanza?

I do in the way of its bloody fast and can still drive it daily in comfort!

Just realised i haven't given an under bonnet shot yet!

not much of an update but I've done a few things over the week!

Firstly i replaced the numberplate for a square plate as i cant stand UK ones!


The boot lock had a missing bracket and i really struggled finding one so i just made one my self


the drivers front disk was seriously warped so this was the main job for the car to get it driving smooth! ( next being the clutch heavy fucker! )


added a few personal touches to make it my own


i also painted the exhaust heat plate black as i didnt like the look but didnt want to get rid as it has a function!

Made myself a horn button while i wait for my wheel boss to arrive then i can get this classy as fuck steering wheel on!


Painted my Intercooler black for extra stealth mode


went for a drive with a few mates last night, here she is in her natural habitat



i do love this car <3



in other news i ordered an exedy sports organic clutch that should be here today/tomorrow!

also ordered a Toad alarm as i want to keep her safe (y)
