Could not help but take a pic while the sun was out
Also gave the bonnet a good polish as it was looking a little tatty!

I've got the tools josh just no sleep in 24h rain and no movement in the cv I got pissed off and cut the inner boot off lol
i just don't have the time or space lol my garage i can only just get the car in plus no electric or workbench etc.

Good call !
Yeh theres a few little things id like to do to finish the bay off
Just spent the past few hours degreasing and cleaning up brackets and moving bits around etc but not going to put any more pics up till after JF

looks good man, hope those welds hold up better than the one I bought off you a couple of years ago lol
What happened buddy? I'm not sure who did the welding on that one on my GT! bought it off a member off here!
This was all done by Dean so i have faith
-
Does look good that buddy!
Thanks buddy!
Looking awesome buddy!
I really need to get my door numbers fitted they look sweet on yours!!
Yes you need to! They do look good ;)
-
Bay looks awesome mate
Cheers buddy!
Lookin swanky mate Could do with chopping them water hoses down aswell as the valve cover breather hoses just to neaten them them away, you going to both japfest?
I had to have the valve cover ones this legnth to give a bend round the distributor as it was very close
water ones i will be making a bracket up soon to hold them snug next to the rad rather than resting on it
Good way to fill the space it's come along way looking mint as always
Cheers buddy! Yeh its come a long way!
really need to do a before and after shot from when i first got it till now lol
its come even further from when you first got it lol

was having a good nose round this the other day when dean was making my catch tank,
stunning car and can see the direction you are going with it! LOVE the intercooler and how its all set up. great result buddy!
-
finally all together!
loving it and cannot wait to show it off at fest!
-
finally some of the bits arrived to finish the catch can setup!
Just need to cut the hose and put the connectors on the end then it shall be ready to be connected up properly!
i think it will make a huge difference to how the bay looks onces it all together
-
Saw this twice today, once pulling out a car park and ones at a petrol station,
Was that rare purple colours and was sat on some grey grids looking really nice
-
Its big but it fills the space nicely
Will look propper when it has the breathers and connectors on!
-
I've got one like it but a racetech version, sits on the battery tray ;)
Ps. Kind of sold my boat and bought another so I'll be after some more name stickers soon same design just different size hope it won't be a problem.
Aaron
Sorry buddy, Not making custom stickers any more
Anyways I've been playing with the starlet again today cleaning up the bay abit as its got abit gritty and dirty over the year. and decided to have abit of a neat up of loose wires and things that are not needed any longer.
So made my own bracket to fit this sparky thingy abit higher up and on its own as it used to catch the intercooler pipe
it looks so much better now
Also took the old relays and bits off the top of the ABS unit and tucked it all neat down the side and again gave the area a clean
Test fitted the new catch can and the bay finally looks fuller again! cant wait for the fittings to come to get it all finally set up!
more cleaning to do! not long till Japfest now!
-
Ha that's what Marc said I've seen about 5 of his.
That is very true but not everyone has the battery relocated to the boot in order to make this fit ;) this is a big fucker of a tank lol
-
These catch cans are getting more fancy lol
Shame on you for leaving your car dirty for so long .
Had no choice mate it lives in a garage 2 miles from my home with no water or electricity and could not take it anywhere as it was not road legal lol
Yep its real fancy! custom made to suit my needs so dont expect to see another one like it anytime soon ;)
-
UPDATE!
Finally made my way over to dean to have this work of art custom catch can setup made!
as always top quality work from RW Developments!
Just ordered the connectors , breathers and hoses to hook this thing up and totalled an extra £80 witch was a kick in the nuts! but i made sure i got the good connectors as i know these things can be a pain...
More updates soon when its all fitted!

Need to get rid of the pink dude.
Nothing wrong with abit of pink ;)
-
i may just pay someone to do this for me then lol i dont have access to a vice or own a big barker bar or 30mm socket lol
-
I've already got some boots and the tool to tie the straps down tight but not the cone tool.
was planning on doing them this weekend so ill just have to get the shafts apart to get them on. cant be too difficult right?
-
I just used a crowbar on the shaft and a persuasive tap with a hammer. Just have to pop the circlip out the box. Same putting them back in
see i didnt know there was a circlip on the box lol ill have to make sure i look out for that!
-
No worries, bear in mind if you take the shafts fully out you may want to drain the box first. Oil will pour out
Yeh i thought that may be the case! whats the best way to get the driveshafts out as i know they can be tight in the box?
-
jack it up remove wheels and drive shafts its pretty much self explained when you look at the car from the underside once the wheels are off.
its the stuff like do i need to remove the hubs fully to work on the driveshafts or just undoing the struts good enough? Just trying to gauge how much time im going to need on the car as i dont have that much time lol
Jack car up and take the wheel off. Use a breaker bar to remove the centre nut on the driveshaft, you'll need a 30mm socket(will have to remove the pin first'. Then undo the two bolts holding hub to strut and should be able to lever the driveshaft out by pulling the hub away. Then use a crowbar or or similar to tap the shaft out the gearbox. When the shaft is off you can buy a kit with a cone that allows you to but a boot on without removing cv joints. Then repeat
thats what i was looking for cheers mate
