  1. ok well just an option tbh ud be quicker with the copper ones as youd get it today and they are easier to fit as there more flexible. Pluss if u get a 2nd hand 1 it will be corroded and the end might be on the verge of chewing. Just some things to look out for pal.
  2. Ive got manifold, de cat, standard TMIC and running no airfilter with the a/c removed and mine only get 0.6 bar to just under 0.7bar of boost. Good chance if your still using a standard actuator that you wont get it because the spring will be fucked.
  3. The wire coming down your steering column that has 12v when sidelights are on and 0v when they are off. You can put your live and earth to the cig lighter and signal to the sensor ofcourse. Yeah sidelight feed is green or green black like broony said its one of the chunkier wires in tht plug just test it with a multimeter and make sure u test it with the indicators on I made that mistake and my indiglo dials were flashing when i turned right haha.
  4. Fair enough buddy but it makes no difference with brake pipes if they are aftermarket its like changing your window wipers and saying you only want toyota ones lol.
  5. Go to your local garage and they should be able to make you up a copper brake pipe for around 10-20 pounds depending on how much they wanna rip you off ;)
  6. Aye mate bang on straight out he wrapper so cheers for that pal jus needto wait till i get my turbo back so that i can get it on her and get some real power. Shaun u jus completely track slaggin her then aye?
  7. Crank seal is the kinda job most garages should do its pretty similar on all cars just go to your local reputable garage mate.
  8. Right so wire the 12v to the back of the cig lighter and the dimmer wire to the sidelight switch wire behind the steering wheel cowling.
  9. your getting confused with anti lag i think mate
  10. Has that bonnet been "bad boy'd"? Any pics straight on wondering what its like on starlets?
  11. Hed have got away if he had a nissan gt-r and not a fat audi. Morale of the story always buy jap
  12. Yeah im sure you can run more than that on a td04 theres loads of people on here that run td04s, i dont myself so ud be best asking someone who has tried and tested but im sure its not uncommon to run 1.4 on these but best to ask.
  13. sounds like the quiet noise is your thrust bearing. The other one could be a few things like you lsd or input shaft bearing to somthing daft like rust or a knackered cv joint. If the mechanic can be trusted then hes probly right did he have the car on ramp or just drive it? As for changing over i think you just need the box and drive shafts. It may only e 1 shaft u needa change infact im not 100%
  14. Havent heard one personally, quite loud i believe they only make noise on full boost tho wen the gate is open. Im sure if you youtube them you will get a few.
  15. Its down to what the turbo can handle people have lots of different pressures but there is an optimum for what a turbo can handle before it starts to put it at risk and wont really create any more power. So with a standard ct9 most people say 1 bar is the optimum safe pressure so running any more pressure isnt really worth it as u wont get much more power but it will be more likely to damage it. Then as they get bigger they generally hold more pressure so a hybrid ct9 may be good up to 1.2 bar A TD04 up to about 1.4 Then the bigger turbos ive heard running up to 2 bar and above. Hope this
  16. I heard about this? Part of west cruise that motor?
  17. The stainless steel straight pipe at the bottom of the pic is the screamer pipe would go down towards the ground after coming off your EWG and open up underneath you engine so on full boost you would get the scream its down to you whether you want the screamer noise or just your usual exhaust noise mate
  18. you can get and externally gated set up that will put your screamer straight back into the de cat. The option id go for if the budget allowed it best of both worlds.
  19. Lol im glad to hear. Yeah i definately think now in terms of starlets that this is the top site and in the short time ive been on here ive noticed it growing alot and becoming much busier. With far more info and help. Agreed though facts are facts and that lip is the tits. Lol ill keep my standard 96 tail lights though
  20. Im sure there is plenty mechanically clued up members joining also i consider myself one of those I wasnt a guru on tuning but i am a qualified mechanic and during my time on here ive picked up alot on the tuning side to add to that and think im pretty clued up on how starlets work as a basis obv with a large amount still to take in but i am picking it up quickly. As for the max power statement was merely a bit of banter and had it been directed at a corsa with lexus lights im sure most people would have agreed. Was not to offend anyone like i said just a joke and definatly was not directed a
  21. Lol I dont know if the whole knowledge part was directed at me but i was well aware they were carat light just for the record lol. Also I didnt direct anything in the way of your car or how it looks im focusing mainly on the carat light which i will stand by my opinion on that i dont like them. On the other part its a matter of opinion i fell 1ao is the best colour of a glanza and given the choice of standard kits i think the 96 front end also is by far the best looking option with the lip a proper grill and an actual badge rather than just a sticker but like you said it is all about opinions
  22. Firstly im no expert in conversons but ill do my best to help. Lets start with yes ofcourse its worth doing it will change your car from a standard hatchback to the infamous "hot hatch" and im sure will give you a perma smile as it does for all of us. As far as i know your bottom end would be fine for the standard turbo and power, but you would need a glanza wiring loom and a few other bits and bobs like glanza dials and glanza indication stalks (again i think not i garuntee) With the intercooler airfilter and exhaust id advise on porting the wastegate and mani fold before you fit it. Anyt
  23. Lol just my opinion personally i think they look cheap and nasty but each to their own i guess Least we can all agree the rear bumper is sexual
