-
Thats what i ended going for haha cheers anyway bud. Lets jus hope this 1 doesnt split when i tighten it up then lol

Best off using ebay mate.
-
I think if you are 21 and have owned it 3 years then you 100% owe yourself some boost. Ive owned my Glanza 5 years and have fallen out of love a few times. The only thing that stops me selling up is I know that I will only find myself regretting it and trying to buy another 1 which will never be the same. Id say sell it and go for a boosted starlet you will never look back.

Bumped by your old dear. Doesnt get much worse.
-
Someone must know the answer to this? Would like to order stuff just now guys.
-
When you did take the head off and found the gasket was spanking new? Im assuming you changed it again anyway? Since you removed the head you cannot reuse the gasket/headbolts.
-
Thats fucking nice and Im a fussy fucker.
-
Yep and Yep Sideskirts too and an intercooler. Thats best part of 500-600 regardless of condition just from what can be seen. I would go for this if it wasnt so far away.
-
No Pics and no spec. Very wierd. That said you would easily make a profit breaking it at that price.
-
Any one know the diameter of the breather on the rocker cover? Ordering a new filter so not sure which would be a better fit 9.5mm or 11mm? Im thinking 9.5 but any educated answers? Cheers
-
Im assuming the mani hasnt cracked again? Just the way the pic looks mate nothing is wrong.
-
Depends how far gone the bottom end is buddy. Its has to start somewhere after all.
-
It would be worth trying but if I sold a car and this happened I would feel bad for the buyer but if they wanted money back from me I would tell them to bolt. Not being harsh but thats just how it goes with the motor trade you buy it how you see it. Your not the 1st and wont be the last. If it was as easy as that then everyone who buys a pig in a poke would get their money back.
-
Well if your a sensible driver then I would say a Glanza is far safer and better built than a saxo so I wouldnt be concerned. I hope you get yourself a good one. The best place to buy from is on here anyway that way you can see the cars history. If everyone bought cars from a safety aspect we would all be driving volvos.

Just looks strange in that pic looks like the hot pipe is facing downward with a pop on hot pipe rather than bolt on. Ah I see Jezza's a good guy. Do you know what was done when he rebuilt it? If it wasnt balanced that would almost definately mean the problem is that the bearing has collapsed. EK I actually got my new car from down there.
-
Aw does he have it thats sound then i'm sure he will diagnose it. To me it sounds more and more like the bearings have collapsed although if they had I would expect it would be smokey as hell rather than having oil running from it. Hybrids arent cheap though pal so if you want it repaired or replaced you will be forking out.. Is it TD04 im assuming from what looks like a downward facing hot pipe? Where in scotland you from?
-
Check exactly where the oil is coming from. As for the whining. Double check you have no boost leaks. Then whip off your air filter and see if the comp wheel is ok like starbuck says make sure it turns freely. Next step is to check the comp wheels itself with a mirror or sumthing to see if any of the blades are chipped if they are this will cause the whining and lack of boost.
-
I see I might do something like that at a later date. Main concern is just getting it in there just now. I need to change my airfilter also as I have an HKS mushroom which is now too big lol.
-
Which thinner ones? Do you mean the ebay ones are thinner than HDI ones or somthing? I really dont have the time or money and dont want to go welding on extra brackets just for an FMIC mate. Im just pondering as to whether it will fit without cutting or not and if it does how to get it to fit. Is his fitted without any cutting?
-
Its one of those ebay efforts same as the one in that pic looks so it comes with a shitty metal bracket that bolts on behind the bonnet catch. Im sure when i offered it up last night it was sitting higher than that one so possibly making it sit lower could help it fit.
-
Shame buddy I hope she can get it sorted and enjoy it like she should.
-
So she didnt even get those wheels? What is on it instead? There are a couple of forged engines for sale aroung the 1200 mark on here if you have that knd of cash haha.
-
Mind you Rob that cooler looks like its sitting lower than mine did when I test fitted it last night. Maybe lowering it is the key to making it fit.
-
Mate i actually was looking at this earlier and made me ask the question on problem is I cant tell from the pic if it has been cut or not. As the only bit that needs cut is 2 small curves where the entrance and exit pipes are on the cooler. just dont want to have to cut my splitter tbh.
