LOL You should seal the underneath of the car before you worry bout the rear axle haha. Thats only surface rust aswell its not even bad! You put any regular UK car up on a ramp I could almost garuntee it would be worse.

Is it for personal use mate as in 1ce or 2ce a week or industrial to be used daily? What kind of price bracket you working in?
-
Your friends are either retarded or pulling your plunger my friend!

You should upload it to Youtube. Next thing you will be all over the news. A new wave of vigilante. That said though I would like to see it myself.

I would defo get in touch at the end of the day you paid for it and what you need to ask yourself is why the clamp is off in the 1st place. They will be easy enough to get as every td04 will have 1 and it could just be off because they were checking it but you paid for a complete turbo and did not receive 1 at the end of the day.

Why do they have to be less than 10 year old? -
Sounds like quite the place youve got lol. Ahh unfortunately theres a good chance they would have taken what they wanted and torched what was left to get rid of evidence. You will just need to be very careful. Id either put it behind locked doors or very close to the house where the dogs can keep a good eye on it for you.
-
If you can fit it in the garage and its lockable I defo would. Good chance the police will do fuck all as standard because they are useless and really have no powers unless they are caught red handed. Fuck sake they were under the bonnet did they have a fucking socket set with them aswell. Wit were they goin to do start dismantling it on your driveway? Crazy motherfuckers.
-
I see sounds like you have quite the pad lol. Best keeping it in there for a while no doubt they will come back since they didnt get what they were after. Probably best it wasnt locked then. I'm assuming they were trying to start it? Strange comments to make really maybe they were breaker thieves forged engines though what a strange comment lol.

Did they do any damage gaining entry? What do you mean by they knew exactly what was on the car?

Like a CT9 for £250 2nd hand!! I feel for people who are not internet savvy and have never found their way on here and get ripped off by these things.

Anywhere that sells nuts an bolts?
-
They are tapered bearings. They dont need to be pressed in but the race will be pressed in. You dont use a socket to tighten them either when you are re fitting them. You screw them tight by hand then use something like water pump pliers to tighten them a little more then there will be a crown for the castle nut and a split pin to stop it coming loose. If you tighten these too much the bearing will over heat and melt welding itself to the stub axle and causing the wheels to lock which could be very dangerous so be careful.
-
It wont mate. Pull out the clip and use a cable tie through both the holes. Will be alot easier to work with mate and should hold the bumper up perfectly. U will have to do it from in behind but if you put the wheels on full lock and pull back the arch liner it should be easy enough.
-
Thats not the best idea. The wing is thin exposed metal. The nut and bolt will also be cheap exposed metal. It will do if you dont even want to get the bumper off again. If you do you might have trouble.
-
There is a small plastic grommet which goes into the wing. The bolt which goes from the bumper into the wing to hold that up is infact a screw which screws into said grommet. These grommets wear out after time causing this to happen. I have been trying to source these clips. Unfortunately my main set back has been what they are called as when you type in bumper clip it comes up with the inevitable circle poppy 1s. So when I do eventually source them (which I will) I will post it up on the forum. Even worth trying Idrees he may have contacts who can pick these up.

SLD?

Im not 100% sure buddy but to find out the 2 diameters you need all you need to do is remove the top mount and youll be able to measure both and the top mount is a doddle to remove. Might be worth doing to be exact.
-
I think the diameter on the throttle body is 60mm although someone may want to correct me as that is almost a guess it just lingers in there as a figure. You need to kno the diameter of the hot pipe coming off the turbo? As in the diameter of the steel part?
-
Your description of the diameters you need makes no sense mate youll need to be more specific.
-
Just get them from ASH mate. The chances of people having the right diameter lying around spare are small. For the sake of a few quid your better of buying them new. Not really worth the effort for someone to post for a few quid.
