GP82, I have literlly just used injector cleaner before the plugs were taken out. I gave the car one run at 2.7 bar fuel pressure and it ran much better. I only ran it for a couple of miles then got scared so set it back to 3 just incase. im in 2 minds, either fork out for rr setup now or save for an ecu and rr which will take me a month or so to save

Hi guys, im currently experiencing problems with a missfire. Car judders sometimes at low speeds accelerating until it hits boost, then boosts ok til about 5k then splutters and judders, you can feel it and hear it, if you run it at 3/4 throttle it solves the problem. I am currently running 0.85 bar with a fcd and rrfpr at 3bar (to 3.5 bar atmospheric pressure) I have just put brand new iridium heat range 7's in and the problems still there Here are my pictures of my old plugs if these tell you anything? (The porcelain on the far right plug is red compared to the rest? Its the lef

miss fire / black smoke / rough on boost

Can anyone help please? -
Hi guys picked up a glanza today. Seems to run sweet as a nut up until high boost. Its got a fcd and fpr setup. Runs approx 0.9 bar, little less in lower gears. I can sort of avoid it by using 3/4 throttle but if I boot it, it kicks out black smoke and feels bit like 3 cylinders. It will missfire a bit under full throttle then get really bad past bout 6k The fpr is at 3 bar, the fcd has a sticker on the adjuster that says close? So cant see what its set to Any ideas? Thanks

I thought it may have been psychological and it made no difference at all but I really did think it made a big difference. Then my mate sat in the back pf my car and asked if I had done anything because the back end feels different. This was without tellin him beforehand I had done it. I say it makes a very noticeable difference from my experience

Sounds well

Hi guys im going to view a starlet today and I want to do a compression test on it. Ive purchased a compression tester. Do I need to disconnect the fuel pump/ fuse. Do I need to tske all plugs out or just plug leads? Do I press throttle down? Do I do it hot or cold? Ive been told different things by different people Thanks guys Dan

Hi guys, going to look at a glanza and wondering if theres a buyers guide anywhere on what to look out for and what to check. I owned an N/A for over 3 years but new to turbo motors. Gained no end of knowledge from this site but looking for a list of common things to check for example compression test, noises, oil, common problems,do sunroofs leak etc etc thanks guys dan

u have to cut them down and maybe cut some slits on the back of the splitter so it bends round the bumper nicely. You wont find a second hand replica as they havent been about long enough for people to sell a secondhand one. If you wan a genuine one they are like £200+ and thats if you can find one

Id workz do replica ones

I saw this for sale on gumtree i think? looks spot on really nice car. Have fun keeping it clean this time of year though, black cars are w*nkers

Welcome mate. 98 spec Vs are the way forward. If you go to photobucket.com, create an account, then log in, upload some picturea from your computer, then once the picture is uploaded onto photobucket you will see a code like blah blah blah [\img], copy and paste that code into your post on here. Hope that makes sense lol
