  7. Looks sweet mate, how did u fit the side skirts, did u drill into the body for the side push in clips? I just fitted some to mine today as well. You stole my idea of a new rear wiper as well, fitted a Tarago one. cheers Ralph
  8. Got my side skirts (cheers Ben), put them on today, the fit is still not 100% up close but will fix that in the upcoming weeks. I am gathering the side clips you need to drill into the body, or use some sort of silicone adhesive? to bring the skirt closer to the body. Happy with them though, was going to rattle can paint them but they came up OK with a polish.....will do until I respray the car. cheers Ralph
  9. How did you do the doors? does that part come away from the rest of the door panel? I've looked at doing mine. Car looks great, flash as a rat with a gold tooth!! cheers Ralph
  10. A good car wash, 2 bucket system, I use a lambswool mit/glove to wash it with, Rinse, then wipe over with a good microfibre cloth, For polishing i use a rotary polisher, foam pads depending on paint condition, then finish it off with a good wax. I also always wipe inside the door/boot/bonnet jams as well, then use a tyre spray on the tyres as well. I used to own my own car detailing company, that combined with OCD helps keep it clean. I just cleaned it last weekend, this is how it looks now. I pick up some Glanza side skirts tomorrow, gotta sand em, undercoat then rattle can them. che
  11. With all the weight reduction is there any concern about rigidity? With all that hp. cheers Ralph
  12. My old Tarago copped another flogging today, giving up the rear wiper, (it already donated the clear side indicators) it looks more modern and better suits the Scarlet. I will have to buy another one for the bus though. Thoughts on this mod?? cheers Ralph
  13. Here is some more updates, Made a new parcel shelf Fitted new dash clock Painted the grille behind bonnet, it was faded and grey looking. And painted the door frames.
  14. Ended up taking the coilovers out, I use this car as a training car for my daughters on their learners, it was not a good learner car with them in, so back to stock. What, if any problems, have people had installing lowered springs with standard shocks? I have heard this places more strain on the original ones. Is it better to get a lowering spring/shock combo? cheers Ralph
  15. Took about an hour, not that hard really, if i can do it any one can. Just gotta get an OEM leather steering wheel, cheers for the comments. cheers ralph
  16. Fitted my Whiteline rear sway bar.
  17. I read somewhere that you use a nylon brush rather than a wire one as the wire one leaves marks in the rocker. cheers ralph
  18. I have 6.5inch rims with 195 tyres on them, offset I am not sure about as I bought them second hand, what would be a good offset to bring them in closer to the centre and away from rubbing on the guard. When it is lowered more I want to make sure there is no scrubbing. Also I might be looking at new rims, so I wanna get the offset right. cheers ralph
  19. That is one sweet looking car dude, I want to buy your steering wheel!!!lol The paint really came up a treat, well done. cheers ralph
  20. The 84 is the load rating (84=500kg) the V is the speed rating (V=240kph, 149mph) 80=450kg, so it is only 50kg less load rating, best to speak to you local tyre place to see if you can go down to an 80 load rating tyre. You might be able to go to a H speed rated tyre, which is 210kph, 131mph. cheers Ralph
  21. Looking really good, how hard is it to take off the mirrors to paint? I must do this to mine!! cheers Ralph
  22. Ah ok, thanks. And what happens if you loosen the allen bolts?
