  1. Thanks! Hahaha I'm excited to get the starlet and ek9 together to do a shoot
  2. So this is how we make imported RHD cars road legal here in the Philippines. We do an LHD conversion. The original car actually had a conversion done on it already, but because it's usually done by un-skilled contract workers on the dock when it lands from Japan – they do a really shitty job. So we decided to re-do the conversion ourselves using bits of the halfcut chassis. Left to right and right to left Mocking it up
  3. A few more updates: Finally got my OEM spec splitter for the face lifted bumper. Fits perfectly! Coincidentally I found the actual seats that came with the Glanza halfcut I bought. They will need some reupholstery though as they were damaged when they were shipped over from Japan Everything useable from the halfcut has been stripped and put into boxes. All bolts, clips put into zip lock bags and tagged. What's left of the halfcut: Removing all the shitty bits from the shell: The wheels for the car have also arrived! 15x7.5
  4. I agree with you both – if it was original livery or if this was a real TRD glanza I wouldn't mind having the trd livery on. But its neither.
  5. Apologies for the crappy phone pics. Dropped by late last night to sneak a peek at the progress so far. Fake TRD paint stripped!!! Test fitted all the donor panels and doors from the half cut.
  6. Thanks guys! The plan at the moment is just to get the shell prepped and painted. I already have a race car so I'm not looking for crazy power on this one. I might actually leave it stock engine-wise and just concentrate on making it look really nice. That said I do have a spare TD04L lying around and we've recently converted the race car to run a Crome-tuned Honda ECU, so the EMU and AVCR are free for use on the Glanza.
  7. I never though I'd get to write this post So about 2 years ago I set about acquiring this neglected Glanza. Got it for cheap as it didn't come with a engine. The previous owner fancied himself to be a tuner and blew the engine messing about with his emanage. Don't even get me started with fake-ass trd livery. Anyway, just so I could save this little gem from being parted out I bought her. 2 years passed and because of lack of time, resources and difficulty in getting her shipped over to where I am I was not able to get started with building her up. Until now. Fresh off the boat! She'
  8. We always keep running out of time to develop the aero. I'm definitely pushing for it to be added this time around though – at least a full underbody diffuser. At the moment we are concentrated on moulding the doors, tailgate and hood to crate fiber copies and save even more weight.
  9. And prep work has started for this year's season which kicks off on March 1st
  10. Finally got around to taking the EK9 to the track. 2m37.11s Not bad for a stock 1.6L on street tires. Personal best time on the starlet race car is 2m33s. >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7P_qLi3dMwo
  11. Been having beautiful afternoons lately so I decided to play around with my Lumix GH2 and shoot a short video of my EK9. Enjoy! (Best viewed in 720p) >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WIz5n1ditY Hopefully I can do the same with my EP82
  12. Preparation in full swing. Rechecking wiring and putting in the race digital dash. 5 days to go.
  13. Thanks guys appreciate the comments! @Starlet-joshy - yes mate you should def get one. A totally different beast from our starlets. May not have the same grunt as our little 1.3 but man wringing that b16b engine is like conducting an orchestra. Music to my ears @Idrees - very flattered sir ;) @redz11 - I totally agree. I myself would never part with my GT as it was my first car but I like the duality of having a no-holds-barred race car in the GT and a nice capable road car in the EK9 A few more things I want to share here's a pic of my engine signed by Akira Nakai of RWB
  14. Since there's a bit of downtime with the race car at the moment while prepping for the endurance race in about 3 weeks time, I'd like to share my other car/daily driver. A pristine 98 spec Honda Civic Type-R (EK9) Got it when I decided to make the EP82 a full racecar. It had only 80t original KMs on the clock. Came with all the original manual, brochures and service records from Japan. A friend borrowed the car to enter in a car show (to promote his detailing/paint business) so I just had it newly detailed and the 17" CR-KAI's repainted. Everything else is pretty much bone stock – eve
  15. 1 bar everyday should be fine. You won't be reaching 1 bar 100% of the time unless you drive like a madman every single time you go out with the car. You should be able to keep it off max boost with a little discipline.
  16. Endurance prep update: Installed a brand new TD04L turbo just for the race.
  17. Not really an update to the car but got myself some proper gear for the endurance race. One more month to go...
  18. New 4 point harness! Still needs to be looped over the B-pillar bar for proper angle (tuner's mechanic forgot to do that) but at least we have a new one now
  19. The only few photos of the car before its retirement from the race.
