i agree, the tdi is a good car and nippy enough for a diesel.the one i drove was chipped and running 180bhp.

i love those bits of private land, there actually everywhere up here surely if your brakes are sparking a bit are you not gettign any squeeling at all?
-
car looks good mate and its a good set up,defo better getting back up and running proper.

shite craic that mate,i thought my luck was bad.

this was my first proper bike after passing my test.it was great and looked the part but it cost me an absolute fortune over the period of time i had it.these pics were taken the day before it went and i only got £650 for it with a full mot and tax.absolutely gutted. it is a honda vfr400 nc30.great wee bike, was running 63bhp at the wheel,it was still speed restricted to 180kph butbecause that isn't accurate it would push 116mph according to twat nav.

i thought i'd share some pics of my last bike i had,it was a kawasaki zx9r c model.the b model was 215kgs dry and in 1998 they revamped it and lost 30 kgs + and ended up with the c model 9 weighing in at 183kgs dry.std they produce 143bhp at the crank and roughly 127bhp at the rear wheel.i had a full akrapovic race system fitted and the carbs set up to suit.end result was 149bhp at the crank and 136bhp at the rear wheel. i decided to do track days as i was going to kill myself on the road and on the 17th of september last year i decided to bin in at knockhill:( in the process i broke my

now now guys keep the peace. i know mate i didn't notice you had quoted the other comment.anyway,i personally would of thought that the v5 would need to say that it was a import, and that it was a turbo.but i also agree with the declaring everything to the insurers......but whether thats enough when the v5 says different i don't know.
-
whats annoying is all the good ones that are for sale just now and i know i can't afford them i'm sure when i can though there will be plenty to choose from, which will be the next problem......which one to go for

i wouldn't say it makes me daft mate, hence why i'm on here looking for some info and everyone's opinion.if i was daft i would of went through with it and not bothered with asking and i'm now thinking that maybe its not a good idea.i would change the details on the v5 because it would keep the insurance legit and not invalidate it,but like i said i'm kind of off the idea of the swap now.just need to be patient and save up for a better one p.s:i thought that daft comment was for me

i've asked for more pics and a little bit more info,i've noticed quite a few starlets and glanza's are registered as non turbo's.problem is there is probably better gt turbo's out there at that price but no one is after a swap and if they are looking for a swap it ain't for a 106.i could wait and save up and get a better one but i'll be honest,i really want one now.
-
what about the prie,do you think that is reasonable and spot on?i mentioned to him int he email that the claimed power was a bit ott but it gives me the oppertunity to up the power if the deal happened.
-
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2639800.htm the guy has been in contact with me and may be interested in a swap for my 106.i think the power is a bit optimistic but i don't mind that.i've spent nearly 1k in the last few weeks on my car so i really should keep it for peace of mind but i'm desperately wanting a starlet and at the moment the easiest way for me to get one is by swapping or selling my car. i can't afford to buy a shitter and as its a long way from me would anyone be willing to go have a look for if you stay close......i would only really ask if the swap got serious and i woul

i've just read this thread and what a build, can't wait to see the finished article....will look the muts nuts and go like feck
-
from everything i've read and from other peeps setups i'd take a guess at roughly 220bhp @1 bar of boost, possibly more.
-
it depends on how long i leave it for, need to save up a bit and i have a 106 which i could sell for about 1k(roughly).i want to buy one thats had some work done, tasteful mods with some tuning mods.there is one on ph just now for £2700 with a good setup, absolutely ideal and what i would go for but its too early just now ;) killin, perthsire.i work in callander.excellent road the a85/a84,great fun especially for bikes.i sold my bike after i crashed it at knockhill and decided to take a few years off from them and decided i wanted a nice fast car.i thought the starlet would be an ideal

hello all, recently joined the tgtt site where i seen this place get mentioned a few times so decided to pop in. i haven't got myself a gt turbo/glanza yet but hopefully soon.being on the tgtt and having a good look on here hasn't helped much as i'm dying for one more now. it is a great site and already i've learnt quite a bit....which will come in handy when i finally get one.
