  1. have a remus on mine as i couldn't source a tte, cost me £110 second hand in almost new condition (retails for more than double that new!) my local mechanic welded it all together. i still have my cat due to petrol and mot reasons, but that car is not as loud as i wish it was. passed emissions perfectly though! any exhaust can be fitted on with a bit of bodging and the right person to do it might wanna consider a glanza bumper though, i have a nasty cut out and i hate it! my friend has a decat system from mij performance on his 1.2 ibiza, sounds amazing for a 1.2 but he gets about 25mpg
  2. yeah that event inspired me Raz, realised it doesn't hold the road aswell i thought it could
  3. have a genuine toyota in mine, cost me 5.99 delivered from ebay. just fucking filters oil at the end of the day and you have to change the cunt soon before you know it
  4. have a k&n panel filter, can't really notice much difference
  5. probably easier to get parts for in all fairness
  6. think i just made your 4000th post well done don't really want to go to ott with the car, i'm only racking up a few years no claims while i'm at uni, till i can roll with the big boys. i just feel the rusty tte springs with the wank standard shocks really aren't doing it justice, plus it's one advisory that's never gonna disappear off an mot certificate. was thinking something along the lines of a gt front brace, tein springs and kyb shocks. is there anything to look out for if buying secondhand suspension?
  7. my sump is in the same state all for doing a good deed and pulling up onto a kerb because an ambulance was behind me
  8. i'd probably get the speedline's refurbished before i put a set of new fancy tyres on, i can't even use my spare because the lacquer's peeled inside. i hate keep posting threads up and i don't even have the money
  9. cheers guys and amjad i just had two new tyres put on. my neighbour who's a tyre fitter told me the t1's don't last very long? probably gonna go for something simple like a strut brace first though, i just don't wanna chuck too much money at the car as i only use the thing on weekends really.
  10. i can't afford coilovers being a student, but i want the thing to stick to the road a bit better. the 13 year old rusty suspension isn't saying much for me. so i'm thinking about upgrading in a few months i don't want to go too low, probably about 40mm max? as my remus backbox seems to smash against things with the 25mm drop i have already can someone recommended a decent shock/spring setup, with probably about a £250 budget?
  11. crx man will be worth it once money has been thrown in to get the thing spic and span my friend (working at homebase and on a tight budget) bought one with no mot or tax and about a million problems for £550 a lot of filler, fibreglass, 10 mot's and countless man hours later (the wheels were cheaper than one replacement honda wheel after kerbing one)

    scratched

just avoided a recent bastard experience was casually driving home from my girlfriends house about 1am saturday. two guys in a 2 litre tdi scirocco decided they want to have a little fun. i don't normally rag about too much but i wanted to get home to bed as i had work at 10, so i thought fuck it why not. obviously me in a 1.3 n/a was going to get done over, but i wasn't doing too bad. we go our seperate ways, then i spot raz in his glanza i was doing about 60 and thought i could catch up maybe if i tried. i thought i could go through a slight curve through the edge of a roundabout and up into a straight quarter mile. two seconds later i spin out up onto a kerb and and almost hit a lamppost. i get out check my car, luckily for me the only bastard problem was the big chunk of dirt under the bumper, no scratches, tracking problems or dents. everyone stops to see if i'm okay, and i just get in my car and floor it off in embarrasement the bastard expierence was paying a fiver for a car wash after washing the thing two days before, aswell as learning that driving like a twat is the wrong thing to do feel sorry for the poor gardener that had to attend to my mess though
  13. get them onnnnnnnnnn
  14. wouldn't look too bad if you stuck these on to be fair http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Wheel-Rim...a3#ht_785wt_754
  15. so sorry to see this man! i love completely standard gt turbo's. karma will hit the cunt one day!
  16. i wouldn't spent too much on the car, at the end of the day it's only a starlet and not a glanza. having 40 quid to last 3 weeks isn't goon in anyones books.
  17. needs a fast car magazine sticker to accompany them terrible wheels
  18. gorgeous glanza, what are blue the bulbs/hid's behind the clear lenses?

  21. any clear indicators or 98/99 spec lenses?
  22. save an non repped sr or sell me the tte to make mine more standard than it is already
  23. wicked i will eventually buy that cupholder off you, i'm just waiting to get some spare money which i can dispose on the interior + this and somehow pay next years insurance come next month. being a uni student away from home is annoying. i have tasteful plans for this sr eventually
  24. think the fli stickers and all the others apart from the sticker bombing on the petrol cap/surround etc (they look good) need to go think it would like nice on some lowering springs and glanza/paseo alloys in my opinion. the exhaust tip looks like something my grandad would have aswell fish hook gear knob looks a bit tacky aswell. liking the mesh though!
