  1. Hi guys, I'm looking for a decat and gonna have my dumpvalve welded closer to the inlet manifold so I can install my short fmic pipe. Anyway, got a question which I think some of you can answer. Am I good to go 0.9/1.0 bar boost with my current setup? Stock ct9 Blitz fmic with shortroute Air filter relocation kit with hks filter Tuning developments 255 fuel pump Tuning developments fuel pressure regulator Stock injectors Stock ecu Jperformance header Jperformance catback (decat soon) Gofastbits EBC AEM wideband HKS actuator set to 0.5 bar
  2. Let's blow off some dust here! Have to confess that I have been neglecting the Glanza a bit for the past year, no inspiration, few minor setbacks and have been trying to sell the car since, without result. I have been discussing to swap the Glanza for a stunning Lancer EVO4, which is prolly going to happen soon. I killed my turbo the other day, been driving around without an airfilter and dumpvalve for quite a while now, well.. it's not exactly the most wise thing to do, altho the turbo flutter/chatter is kinda awesome. So I bought a replacing ct9 turbo off a totalled Glanza over here on this side of the pond. I replaced the turbo and installed back my long route FMIC piping so I could also install my SARD R2D2 BoV again. Have to say, I did kinda miss the sound of the loud sigh.. ^^ Anyway, I bought an airfilter relocation kit off Conor, including a HKS shroom filter which is on it's way. Also reinstalled my rear interior and catalic/converter and set boost levels back to stock. In my search for parts I kinda got back on here and after walking trough this progress topic I do feel as if I let the car down, so I prolly will clean and polish it soon to make it up hehe. If for whatever reason the Glanza will not be swapped for this evo, I will most likely spend some more money and have it back in mint condition. Just a few recent random pics:
  3. Theminiguru, that is one sweet bay you got there!
  4. That's what I thought too hehe, at least it HAS a brand stamped on it! Think I'll give it a go.
  5. Doesnt open, "item has been removed". Also the link's referring to a v-band and I need a flange type. The xs-power one is a tial knock-off, are there aby 'better' knock-offs around?
  6. It's about €80,- new&delivered Couldn't find any bad reviews on the web just that the XS-P 1 bar spring is almost exactly as the default 0.4 bar spring. Not that I need a 1 bar spring as I set boost trough my EBC. http://xs-power.com/wastegates-3.htm
  7. I used to have a legalis R on my ek4, it was the best sounding exhaust I ever had. Also had Kakimoto and Mugen on the same car, Kaki is way too loud, Mugen was way to stock sounding. The legalis R was just perfect 'loudness' with a great tone!
  8. I'd kill to get my hands on a silent exhaust system which looks like it's going to roar as hell! I currently have a Japspeed/Jperformance catback which isn't really silent.
  9. Hey guys, I can get my hand on a xs power wastegate to complete my td04 setup. Now it is a cheap brand and I've read about their turbos failing and manifolds cracking but I'm wondering if any of you have experience running these wastegates. They're tial knockoffs and I do know that a genuine tial spring fits the xs power wg. I'm not aiming high power so .6 or .7 bar (180 - 200bhp?) should do the trick for me. Thanks in advance, Jurriën
  10. Nope, I can't.. wish I could tho.
  11. Also there will be more cars and all of them will be like the current premium ones, so full interiour, visible damage. More tracks, I believe it was 5 or 6 completely new tracks and about 19 more variations from the existing tracks. One of the new ones will be Santa Pod. Also more options to personalize your cars and a lot more tuning options, hopefully able to do engine swaps, would be great to have a k20 eg.
  12. Wow geez alot of opinions which are miles away from eachother haha. Thanks for the awesome replies guys. I like my glanza but the r32 is one of my favs, I have driven one before but that one was quite modded, slammed so that wasnt a good example as a daily drive, but it did feel quite awesome. But as I said, that particular one had about 350bhp which is about 120 horses more than this fairly stock one. I don't like the r33's looks and a 34 is very rare in the Netherlands, let alone find one for sale. Importing another car is no option as It's just going to be too expensive. I'm no speedfreak, I just love jdm vehicles and am really charmed by the r32 so even the 'lesser' gts-t would be fit for me. I'm just wondering if it will be a just as fun drive as the glanza is, as said above light weight hatches with a fair amount of power are awesome and I haven't had any experience with different layout powertrain vehicles before. Anyway, ill have to check insurance and fuel consumption and make some calculations. Sourcing parts is no problem and comparable to my glanza. There are quite a few skylines here in Holland. Thanks again for the comments! Feel free to continue any discussion, we're all in the offtopic section anyway XD.
  13. 'Mantil' Currently doing gt5 only, hosting a competition with friends of mine.
  14. From what I've heard is that Sony will launch the ps4 with a complete different racegame; Drive Club. It's from the creators of motorstorm. The reason why gt6 will be releases for the ps4 later is because they are afraid it will ruin the ps4's launch. Driveclub is based on online social gaming which allowes friends to team up and be the best club by beating other clubs. It looks extremely realistic but I think it will not simulate car characteristics as gt6 do. But these are just my thoughts.
  15. Seat boys be like, I'll have anything for breakfast. It has 20 valves and a turbo you know...
  16. Hey folks, A mate of mine is selling his '91 r32 gts-t Nissan Skyline. I've always had feelings for that particular car because I love the way it looks and sounds, 6 cilinder awesomeness. It's a gts-t in mint condition with a few upgrades such as a catback system and an aftermarket intake. There really are few of these in good condition in the Netherlands. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have owned a r32 sky and how its like compared to a glanza. Oh and before anyone would say to get a gtr or r33/34 gts-t, that's no option as I don't like the looks of those and a gtr is too expensive.
  17. Exactly same numbers as above. Only 1 litre of 98 euro costs 1.87 euro. There are a few gasstations which have 101 octane fuel but it would be senseless to drive 60 miles only to get that.
  18. I have owned an ek4 vti before i got the glanza, have to say that my ek4 with bolt on upgrades was quicker, at least it felt faster than my glanza. (currently running .7 bar). But the glanza's handling is more tight which means more fun around corners. Anyway, I'm sure that the glanza has more potential in being faster than a Civic both in speed and handling. To get a civic produce more than 200bhp requires more than just bolt ons which will be costly. As for a glanza its rather easy and cheap(er) to get these results and also it has less weight.
  19. Not sure if they sell this stuff in the uk, but it works awsome. It's a degreaser called 'dasty' It's sold @ the Wibra in The Netherlands which is a low budget cloths store. (dont know if they have Wibra in the uk, if they do I'm guessing they'll sell the stuff there aswell) Costs about 2 euro per spraybottle and it really cleans everything, spray on, brush in and rinse off. I also use this for my wheels. I would advice to clean bit by bit as I don't think it'll be good to have dasty sit on your paint for longer than 3 minutes.
  20. Tegiwa sells universal type which look awesome. They are basically used in Civics and teggies but I think it'll fit with some slight modification. They have 2 types which has to do with the width of the brace, the civic one is smallest but still to big to fit a starlet. So that'll mean that is has to be cut apart and welded back together, just a few inches smaller.
  21. Also include the pics as proof! Im sure they'll pay for everything and no worries about losing your no-claim either.... Seems legit.
  22. Nice finds! All I ever found were the car's history MOT sheets and some manuals of stuff installed to the car at that time.
  23. Awesome ^^ Seems the uprated pump has worked it's magic .
  24. I'm currently running with an HKS actuator set at .6 bar. The EBC is set to .73. Anyway, this morning I installed my Walbro fuelpump and took the Glanza for another spin and set the FPR to 2.6-ish: Idle: 14.8 - 15.3 A/F When normal driving: 15.5 - 16.5 On boost: 11.x - 12.x The holding back in the lower rpm range is gone, altough the boost comes in around 2.8k rpm and it seems really fast from about 3.5k rpm and up untill it drops. Messured in 3th gear, going full throttle from 2K rpm. Overall it feels smoother in the lower range as it isn't holding back anymore.
  25. I recently had an AEM wideband installed. It has to be about 40CM (as said above, due to heat) from the turbo and at an angle of 10 degrees minimal (facing upwards). Other than that it's quite easy to install.
