  1. i would, don't think they're that expansive are they? better to be safe than sorry!
  2. i actually will, pinky promise! i'll make sure it's a good one, don't you worry
  3. well it's had a new cambelt kit, so hopefully the cambelt won't snap. just hope the turbo doesn't go pop. but hopefully when i get my hands on the actuator it will be running just under a bar when it goes on the rollers. please send it tomorrow, i'll post you a lollipop if you do . i'm putting mine on mostly because i wanna get an idea of the afr, it will have an fse fpr on it by then as well but i cant afford to fork out for a wideband/take it somewhere to find out what the fueling is doing when it comes on boost. obviously prefer it running abit rich than really lean. see what happens. des
  4. oh i thought you'd had it mapped, my bad. meh bang it on still, if any of them are gonna go pop it's probably mine haha.
  5. get it on the rollers adam! and yeah film it by all means

  7. i might solder your loom for you, if you're lucky
  8. oooh awesome! let us know when you're ready to sell them lew, i'm sure sam will be interested
  9. it's alright, you can just have my old bonnet and stuff! cheeky need a pic of it next to mine, because it makes mine look mint! haha it will get there, once it gets in lock up can really crack on with it. just need a front bumper, headlights and a wing, engine and box in, handbrake cables, and a few other bits and it will be semi road worthy... lol.
  10. mine is still hitting fuel cut and still waiting on an exhaust manifold but hopefully i'll get the exhaust manifold on by then and he would be able to advise me on setting up the afr, so i'll bang mine on depending on if the manifold is still blowing or not, what's the worst that could happen? (don't answer that!) Attend 1) Steve GT 2) rob_bower 3) LukeSR 4) Starlet__SR 5) 6) Rollers 1) Ro55ifumi 2) Louis 3) Funny Onion
  11. mine was exactly the same when i got it, nothing at all on low settings apart from the high setting. there is a resistor block in the heater, and one of the connections snaps sometimes and causes the problem. basically if you take your glove box out there is a small plastic panel with two screws holding it in, right in front of you. take it out ad have a look, will be a block of ceramic over the components but you will see the connections and see where it has snapped off. just solder it back up, thats what i did anyways. im not sure if these pics will work; the bottom pic is the best t
  12. it will be a starlet again one day... just not anytime soon
  13. yaaay, project shedlet officially commences on saturday! can't wait!
  14. yeah i suppose while the gearbox and clutch are off yo might as well do the fly if you're planning to do it anyway. i wanted to do the crank seal while the clutch is off but i can't find one for sale that isn't daft money.
  15. i always seem to be buying bits! haha or scrounging them . needs a clutch sooner rather than later, so theres another chunk of my student loan gone but oh well, smoke 'em if you got 'em
  16. i really can't believe the money people pay for a scabby used rocker cover! i might drop out of uni and start selling rocker covers haha i go to u pull it near york, fair few starlets but alot have had the engines removed.
  17. haha sorry but it is there, the only reason it's there and not where the fte one is on the bottom left is because of clearance issues with the standard intercooler. i'm running this one while i spray up my fte one then might even swap depending on how the fte one comes out. can pick up 4e rocker covers from scrapyard for about £8 inc VAT, loads of spares! haha
  18. the pcv is the one that has a black pipe going to the inlet, the other breather is right next to the clip block thingy for the standard ht leads, very top right, you can only just see abit of it but it is there (i've moved the leads now so theyre not blocking it haha)
  19. look on the photo of it without the intercooler on, it has 2 breathers, you can just see the top of the breather at the top right under the ht leads
  20. i sell my hair to dirty old men on ebay nah i didn't actually mean to shave it that short... long story... haha. picking up a front and rear lip tomorrow i think, will need to find somewhere cheapish to spray them up and they'll be on, can't wait!
  21. cheers bud i would love a front and rear lip, just decided what to go for really. next time i take a trip to scrapyard i might grab a splitter off something for the front. would love it to be on coilovers and drop it abit more but i can't really, drive down mud tracks with lots of pot holes and it would absolutely kill it
  22. managed to get a few goodies since the forum has been down! since the last update; - car has been lowered! - got some tints - got some ultra power ht leads - sprayed up a rocker cover and swapped for the ugly one - got an oem 3 point rear strut - got some ngk iridiums in it mega happy with everything, and i think the car is happy about it too the old king lead used to jump sparks onto your hand/arm when the engine was running, which wasn't good! After everything listed above, the car drives soooo much better still waiting on another exhaust manifold and hks actuator, but all in good time
  23. cheers guys. i don't have to say how frustrating it is seeing my pride and joy be the victim of little bastards with nothing better to do. just hope they don't do any major damage. thanks dan not enough of advance's and limited's left now
