The stickers are rare a optional ones, very sought after if you are into options. As said really good base to work with and just a few silly problems.

Take the bolts off behind the time clock and the speedo dials, then there are 4 kinda push in clips that go along the length of the dash. Think there are a few random screws around too.

The VF series are quite un explored on starlets i think, pretty sure they are all physically bigger than TD04s but they some of them have duel bearings, ceramic roller bearings etc, to improve spool. But on a stock motor i wouldn't bother. And like shaun said the guy has probably been lied to about the spec at point of sale.

That tropicana colour isnt for everyone, thats why there aren't many around !! Like this. Was a colour choice on the MK3 GT, one of the rarest colours about, 3 known examples in the UK apparently. I think its awesome.

Gearbox end housing - small crack repair ?

Nothing will fall out, infact everything in the 5th gear casing housing is a total cunt to get out haha. Just mind and clean up the contact area and use a good sealer. -
Another alternative, if you still have the import size terminals then a hyundai I10 battery works as it uses the import size, and its really small. Only issue might be the battery tray but im sure you can secure it somehow.
