  1. at the minute im a labourer/machine driver thing .... joining the raf though soon to hopefully fly planes.
  2. thanks guys for the good comments. thanks jay, was good to get down have a look around a mecca for the true starleteer. im going to try and get a few pictures of the car running on the rolling road day maybe get a picture taken off the wheels when she is running to get a shot of the brakes in situ. only time will tell. about the x brace hehe not cheap but uber sexy!! i can't say where its from yet as i havn't picked it up yet so wee secret. but when it will be well documented1
  3. well ive finally decided to sort the suspension and braking side of things. heading to the rolling road day over here on the 29th to see what she makes now at 1.0 bar of boostage. Keep in mind she makes 173bhp at 0.8 bar. i've also realised i haven't posted up the rolling road printout for that yet will get round to it. suspension and handling will be taken care of by a carbing three point front strut brace and miracle 4 point rear x bar and a set of tein type flex's. Brakes are quite exciting me though. set of AP racing 4 pots behind me 15 inch wheels will stop me in a hurry no doubt. pict
  4. well it looks like its finally time for an update. will keep yah posted
  5. welcome buddy. glanza? ballymoney we should organise a meet in ballymena bud. have a wee look round your wagon maybe.
  6. no buddy. the one that sits on the end of the intake manifold. any help thanks
  7. Could i have a price for an idle control valve for an ep91 glanza. Unfortunately mine has give up the ghost. Any help thanks.
  8. dont put any bigger than 16 inch would look like a starlet roller skate hehe. 16 inch is fine 15 inch is better although as starky says watch the centre bore as running wheels without spigot rings can lead to problems. and watch the offset as well.
  9. very very very nice buddy. blitz k1 is definatley a perk in the spec list to say the least. will deffo see you about the town im sure. im the white 99 spec jobby with the blitz intercooler.
  10. just unbolt the whole thing buddy. it really isn't worth the hassle of trying to get at them with turbo in place. just soak the nuts in wd40 and if the nuts have never been loosened brute strength is required.
  11. a fmic is in a better location to make the best of the moving air at the front of the car to cool the intake charge. it is better than a tmic because after a while of spirited driving the heat of the engine heats the tmic reducing its efficiency. a blitz intercooler is massive, too big for a ct9, better suited for something bigger like a tdo5 etc. hid will do the job just depends if your into names or not.
  12. one word for this .... AMAZING just sat for the past hour reading through this and i can honestly say i now miss my SR so badly right now. i agree a front mount would look awesome sitting behind that front end. stunning really doesn't cut it in this case. wow. i may just have to get an SR again. ;)
  13. sounds like the piston in the dump valve is sticking. quick way is to try some wd40 sprayed up the trumpet leave it for like 10 minutes then take it for a drive...... also if it does un stick it any extra wd40 will be blown out.... have sumfin to catch the muck such as t towel. if not take it apart and oil the piston up with a very fine oil after cleaning
  14. i did it too... same problem..... hit fuel cut so reintegrated the boost solenoid.... ;) but now its not in anymore because i have myself an adj actuator and fuel cut defender yeeey. makes some differance!!
  15. any thing above fuel cut pressure on the top mount and after a bit of spirited driving it becomes way too warm through heat soak to be efficient and you end up geting a charge of hot air which aint no good. get your self either an rx7 topmount, arc topmount or a front mounted one. but be careful with the front mount as if you use too large an intercooler on a ct9 you will notice lag. unless you run a larger turbo to force more air through.
  16. get the adapter plate flange thingy from greddy and a bit of reinforced samco, hose etc and some mikalor clamps while your at it ... functional and sexy.
  17. how big is it and what way does the air enter/exit the cooler... ? is it at either end or another funky way if you get me?
  18. you should look into uprating brakes and handling before yah go giving her 180-190 horsies as standard they are not known for awesome handling or stopping. just a thought.
  19. wellll the car cost me 3700 quid incl mot and tax etc parts have cost me 1800 for all my stuff... check out my thread guys..... so all in around 5500 although i dont think thats too bad..... i dread to think what it will be when im finally finished.....
