Right well bit of an update. Got my honda sold so now have some cash to throw at the car (once I get it in the bank). So far I've got a list of all new parts (including ancillaries) From Idree's at ID Workz for an awesome price! In the mean time I've spent some of my spare time tidying up the car. Today I stripped/cleaned both front arches for undersealing (excuse the horrendous phone photo quality) And the rears were done and assembled again as I'm shot blasting and painting the front arms and fitting an anti lift kit. Along with ordering some whiteline goodies to go in all areas of the car! Also removed the rear bumper and was faced with a lot of tar and general dirt from the roads. So that was to be cleaned also! Before After Will be getting some pics of the shiny new parts soon.

Awesome stuff. I put it on by hand (warmth of your hands melts the carnuba so it goes on smooth )with any car I do it on. Then buff of after it's cured with a microfibre.

I use a das6 and have been using the menzerna stuff as of recent. The 85r polish is good but the pads aren't the best tbh. Got some good results on a few Starlets, but got better results just using megs ultimate compound with some scratch x on a few Fords and Mazda's. Had them like new. Still experimenting with pad/polish combo's.

Ok so if I just mic up the journals to check there the right size (anyone know what size?) I can do dynamic balancing at my work I take it I wont need the rods and pistons for this just the flywheel clutch etc and the pulley on the other side?

What work is best to get done on the crank before rebuilding the bottom end? I looked into regrinding the crank and micro polishing and knife edging etc. I'm looking to run about 300bhp with the set up I'm going for. The crank is out of an engine with 70kmiles that had a burnt piston ring and was running lean for a good few months. What is recommended work for a fairly good condition crank?

Yeah luckily have a spare from a mate the week before that had a ring failure. But it's pretty mint considering.
