    Rear Brakes

What about using rear calipers from a prius? (I know! Hear me out) Was working on one today and the calipers look very similar in design and size, they would need a different carrier bracket though, or an easier way would be a different mounting bracket (that bolts to the axle which the carrier bolts onto) to suit But the calipers & pads are a similar size so could use the standard sized disc, or slightly larger, plus the piston is much larger and you could still utilise the standard handbrake cable by using a custom lever plate Just an idea Comparing the Glanza carr
  3. Probably not because the mounting points on the rails will be different, unless you some how swap the rails from your original seat to those which may be possible, but I dont see this being easily accomplished, as in they wont be a straight fit that is unless anyone else has some first hand experience with this? easiest thing is get some from/for a ep82 or ep91
  4. Might be a bit late of a reply now but you will need the complete rear axle and everything attached to it, including handbrake cables, calipers & discs and brake lines (as the turbo models have a total of 4 brake lines at the the rear) If you get hold of one, it might be worth fitting poly bushes before fitting it, and check the bearings are good too, maybe even overhaul the brakes as they are prone to seizing
  5. Well thank you! Although I should have really posted it in the tutorial section!
  6. After buying a set of optional extra ignition and footwell lights from another member on the forum (thanks for the Japanese treats ), I was posed with a question.. How the hell do I wire this up? Searching on the internetz and coming up with nothing particularly useful, I decided to go poking around with a multimeter and I thought I would post my findings First off, mine is a N/A SR, however this shouldn't matter too much, but just as a warning there will be differences between models, so use this information as a general guide, basic knowledge in wiring will be required to wire these up
  7. ECU pinout for: 89661-10181 211000-6571 ECU from 1998 EP91 SR Might be useful to someone trying to rewire an N/A ecu *If any of this information is incorrect (ie. the description does not correspond to the abbreviations), please make it known*

    Starlet SR?

Hi all, first time I've made a thread let alone post on this forum, cut a long story short and after alot of careful consideration, im looking to buy a decent conditioned SR, however im struggling to find one, I am aware that they are very rare but was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction to finding one? I was very interested in 'Matts' SR but unforunatly it was sold before I had the chance :/ If I dont succeed in my search id be open to something with a turbocharged conversion Cheers, Trev
