  1. That's a good point, never really thought about that. Cheers buddy
  2. Ha yeah I wanted the sump to be a funky colour as it was orange when I got it but couldn't find any orange paint. Should look alright tho if not I'll give it a coat of black
  3. Only a little update, got the old exhaust system off Also cleaned and painted the driveshafts, going to replace inner and outer boots before they go back on to. And cleaned and painted the sump
  4. So really then if some one was to do a budget inlet for cars capable of 350bhp or less it wouldn't really matter how they were constructed any way?

    Snow... Lol

I wasn't happy, I'm hoping a good machine polish will take it out

    Snow... Lol

Got shit loads of snow today and I came home to this. 2 big scratches down the drivers side now, great!!
  7. Ah right all good stuff then, would be interesting to see what James comes up with. Just out of interest, and for future reference if he does a cheaper version with flushed stacks but still tappered and with the correct plenum size and shape would that be enough to support a 250-300 bhp build with out doing any damage and improving results?
  8. Haha it works wonders. Nah it's what I keep my lime powder in, I use it to clean off any excess polishing compound.
  9. Intercoolers done, looks shite tho. Cheap ally shit. Just debating wether to spray the centre black or just clean it up.
  10. Think I'll probably attempt the mani wet and the rest dry to make life a little easier. I think once its on there and tied on properly it should be alright any way
  11. Cheers mate, can't wait to hear it on the car
  12. I'm on the case. Thanks bud, I'll have to get some more wrap ordered up.
  13. Ha bet they loved you. Yeah I see what your saying tho would be easier dry. I read some where it was easier and lasts longer if applied wet, seems like to much aggro lol.
  14. Bet she pops and bangs a gooden now, did you put the wrap on dry or did you wet it first?
  15. I've been busy lol. I should have a few more tomorrow when I've done the intercooler and other bits. Cheers tho Rob, I might have to get you to wrap my zaust tho, I've seen your skillz
  16. Had a hks exhaust up for a bloody good price, I snaffled it up soon as I could Quick delivery too and good packaging, took me at least 15 minutes to get in to it. Cheers again matey Lewis
  17. Managed to get the rad all polished Also received the new exhaust from Jamie_vf22 cheers again. Spent 20 minutes at lunch giving it a quick polish, centre silencer is all polished along with back box, the rest is going to be heat wrapped. Can't wait to get that on the car and to get the car back on the road, I miss boost Gear box has also been sent away with these Just a few more bits to polish and buy, also need to make up my mind on which turbo route to take.
  18. I've got a carbon fibre momo here I'll get a pic tomorrow if you like
  19. I've just read this and it answered a lot of questions, http://www.intengineering.com/intblog/archives/693 I think if I was going to build one myself I would personally use raised stacks while making the runners as long as poss with them becoming thinner half way down. Think I would have a smoothed surface finish tho, not quite mirror but at least have a reading of 0.8 RA.
  20. If that's the case I'm going to take mine apart and make mine a hybrid tomorrow but mines going to be shinier then yours looool
  21. Wow a lot more goings on then meets the eye then. I'm guessing it helps if all the internals are deburred and polished also?
  22. What about the actual plenum size and shape tho? Does that come into account or is it just the stacks them selves?
  23. I could pretty much do that myself, I was under the impression the veins had been changed to.
