around 180 is best u will ever get from these engines standard.checked mine and got these results a month ago. years ago when i bent a conrod one cylinder went down to 90 odd i think.i made a banana of the rod.

Yeap there well out.i had the same as what u have had happen.smoke bellowing out of exhaust and engine bay,opened bonnet and oil everywere,i melted piston 2 though light detonation.such a horrible thing to happen i know

when i turboed my sportif i ran a standard non turbo fuel pump for a few hours tops and wasnt prepared to run any boost at all ( wastegate permantley open ) till i got a 255in there.would never risk running a possibly inferior fuel pump.as we know one little bit of det can spell disaster.why the heck risk it.....

the mixtures more volatile with more boost and fuel and retarding stops det by making spark slightly later in cycle.wiki it and you will find all you need to know
