I know mate tell me about it lol.....I was just 100% it was the front left quarter haha! Do feel like a bit of a numpty but in my defence I climb trees for a living and my little SR is my first flirt with 10+ year old cars and the joys of all the knocks and rattles that go along with it....not really an excuse but my experience with vehicles has been colourful to say the least so I just thought the worst before the obvious! 😌

Seats are the best bit!

Give the exhaust system a wiggle....had the same problem last week, shit myself and checked everything else then pretty much in desperation grabbed hold of the mid section and wiggled it....suprise suprise "knock knock knock" had lost one of the rubber hangers but I was convinced the drive shaft was fucked! Worth a shot?

going to wire my glow up barrel ring today, quick question :)
Flynn replied to crazy_eyes's topic in Electronics
Sorry to jump on your thread but I'm also wanting to wire one into my SR but mine doesn't have the connectors.....got the (black earthing wire?) and then a red/white wire and a red wire (fused) anyone know if I'm missing anything? And bump on the previous question! -
After all that and a good few hours fighting with my car and wiggling things that I couldn't really get hold of.....had the font end up wheels off, cleaned everything! Eliminated everything......and then "wait for it PaulStarltSr" gave the exhaust a wiggle farther back and found the rubber hanger thing missing and some nice fresh marks where the hangers had been twatting into each other!!!! Just goes to show, as suggested.....try the obvious stuff first, don't just panic! Anyways....thanks for all the advice guys! And Paul.......you win!

As you've probably guessed I'm no mechanic and I only had about 20 mins in half light to have a look at the car tonite. But a mate who does do work on vehicles said he thought it either sounded like it was either the driveshaft or I'd warped a disk heating up my brakes but I've not been thrashing the car so I plumped for the driveshaft. I need to get it up off the floor at the weekend and really have a nose, but is there anything that would be obvious from a visual point of view or is it literally extra play that will diagnose wether it is driveshaft/cv associated? Sorry for all the questions
