dwd Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 The instructions say to connect to the coil + and coil - Does anyone know what colours these are on a ep82 4efe? Quote
starletezy Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 red wire is positive and blue wire is negative mate Quote
dwd Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 That's the wires from the rev limiter but I am asking what they connect to on the car. Quote
aleximport25 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 red wire to an ignition source and blue to an earthing point :-) Quote
lukEp Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Red to black thenBlack to Blue thenBlew to bits. Quote
Ep82gi Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Red to black thenBlack to Blue thenBlew to bits.Best thing I've ever see Luke. Haha actually cried with laughter. I do hope it's not a JDM Ep82 n/a Quote
lukEp Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 On a serious note when I fitted a OMEX rev limiter to my Glanza it cracked my ring lands and it's a pain in the arse changing pistons or even a compleat engine just for a few bangs pops and flames. Quote
dwd Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 I have no interest in pops and flames. Its a competition car with a newly built engine. Ive been running no rev limiter but that ended with a rod through the block on the last engine so want to safely limit it. Were you using hard or soft cut? I haven't a clue about electronics so am not sure what wire on the dizzy to use since there is no red and blue on it. Maybe I will ask elsewhere. Quote
lukEp Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Hard cut. Didn't realise OMEX did a soft cut limiter. Quote
dwd Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 They can be switched to soft cut. Did you connect the coil (-) to earth on the body? Cant see a negative on the coilpack on any wiring diagrams Quote
morgey Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Do you have a stand alone coil on yours like 4eftes or is it inside the dizzy like the ep91 4efes? Quote
