Zemerz Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 If I was to strap a CT9 onto my NA, what kinda BHP we looking at? I'd be running lowww boost so the engine doesnt go bang haha! Also what would be needed? I'm assuming; turbo, mani, oil/water lines, rear discs and pads, suspension maybe, fte ecu and full or dash loom?, fmic and anything else?? FYI the car is only for occasional weekend use, so it's not used often. What ya reckon? Quote
daniel_g Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 You'll see about 160+ bhp at about 0.6bar depending on spec. Its worth doing. Quote
5e colin Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 your starting wrong already by asking how much bhp !!!! u can run 10 psi no bother she be 1 nippy whip cruise around in 5th and she will take of no bother full ct9 kit and 4efte exhaust and oil filter relocator to get it bolted to the engine 4efte map sensor and an emanage bleu at a minimum and upgrade over time Quote
Zemerz Posted May 4, 2016 Author Posted May 4, 2016 Colin is that standard 4efte exhaust? Daniel what kinda spec would you be looking at for 160? Cheers for quick reply you Starlet guru's Quote
Mickey The Fish Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Have a look at my build on Race Techs page on here. 178bhp before gearbox losses, 155 bhp at the wheels. It was a totally standard engine, just rebuilt with new gaskets and bearings to be on the safe side. The instant spool from the CT9 is awesome and if it's mapped well you'll keep the reliability, I ran it for over two years with no issues whatsoever before I took the engine apart to check it. I ran a 2.5 inch stainless exhaust I had already had made by blue flame when it was just an NA with no problems. Quote
StuDoc 72 Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 It will make alot more than your n/a, its not all about what BHP something makes. Quote
