another question lol what boost will the stock ignition cope with

Recommended Posts

i've personally seen the stock ignition system handle boost up to 1.5 bar with no issues on gt28/td05 sized turbos...which as said above tend to give about 350bhp

the individual components would need to be in good condition--plugs, wires, coil, distributor, igniter, coil

and your plugs may need to be gapped appropriately/smaller at higher boost levels to avoid blow out

others have claimed to run more than 1.5bar...the most i've heard is 2.0 bar on a gt28....but at these boost levels, you tend to have other issues to worry about such as head bolts, h/gasket, etc---IF they are stock

And you rate these Phil Eh. The heat range 7 ngk no good??

It was pushing 1.93 bar had no issue but the boost was tailing off so Av ordered a stronger wastegate spring see if that was the issue just a friend said he was surprised I had no issue that was the reason for the question thanks for reply lads
