Hi guys iám from Portugal, i´ve 18 yo and this is my first ca and project, i never expect to buy a starlet, but about 6 months ago in the the island appeared a good deal. It´s from 1987 it´s 1e engine in registration, but under the hood there is a 2e with 4 speed gearbox, i still have a lot to do before the ipo.

I will post some pics how the car is now, and a link of a video in youtube that shows some of the work. Till now this project is full home made and all by me and my dad, so i feel proud. Now i´m not in the island so i can´t work in the car i will get back there in christmas and continue the work

Looking nice, You should do battery relocation, hide washer and radiator expansion tank, even cleaner engine room :) Very hard to find front valance panel and windscreen lower panel, be glad to find those from scrapyard in Your country :)

I´m thinking in put the battery in the trunk, but i still don´t know, yes it is very hard, in the scrapyard here they had 3 our 4 ep70 but just 1 had the front valance panel and windscreen lower panel in good conditions

Just cut/brakeout battery terminal connector and get long main cable, add maybe main power switch and ground battery from trunk, very easy job. So this way can go back to if if needed. If You don't have big electric systems, then go small motorcycle battery, enough for older cars easily...
