JamesD89
Hello peopleI'm in need of some help, managed to snap one of the front hub stud's after going a bit over the top with the breaker bar, I have a spare hub here which I have managed to bang one of the studs out of, can i re use it in my hub? and if so how will I get it in as it looks to me as if they are pressed in from the factory? Any help is greatly appreciated, starting a new job tomorrow so couldn't of came at a worse time.ThanksJames
morgey
Yeah should be fine. Juat knock it in with a copper hammer and it should be fine
daniel_g
It should be splined, draw it into the hub using a wheel nut. You might need a spacer behind it ir use the alloy itself.Easier with a battery gun. But can be done with a ratchet. You'll be fine to run about with 3 wheel nuts in the mean time. JamesD89
Cheers for replies lads, I managed to drag it in with a open ended nut as a spacer and the wheel nut using a ratchet, going to order all new studs though as it seems a bit crude to leave it like that. Thanks againJames
Ryncewind
I drove my car with 3 studs for a few months and it was fine
