Remote locking

Stupid question, I should really know but all my starlets had some form of aftermarket security. My new glanza has a small grey fob, that doesn't seem to do anything, I've change the the battery and still no good. Did glanza have remote locking from the factory if so wheres the place to start looking for faults or is it just a case of the fob is dead??

if you look by the rear view mirror there should be a black sort of screen which is the receiver (been a while). Im not sure they all had it tbh, I bought a fob for mine but it was really shit. By the time you are close enough for it to work you may as well have used the key

Oh yeah I know which bit you mean it's a little black cap on the base of the mirror. Il have a look and hold it up to it see if it will wake up.no fuse or anything to check

Mine has a box under the drivers seat few times mine has played up I unplugd that plugged it in oem central locking worked again mine is on the key though.

If I remember correctly you have to program the fob again after the battery change.

Didn't work but that clearly means the fob is fooked

I had to remove turbo timer before it worked for me. I just unplugged the turbo timer's harness behind the ignition barrel and put it back togerher just like it came from the factory.
